The place was chaos - totally full, running 20-30 minutes behind reservation times to seat people and 30+ people waiting around. We gave up and went somewhere else to dine. Although we notified the desk, they did not cancel the reservation and texted me that my table was ready 30 minutes later. My ratings for price, food and value were just put at "poor" to fill in the chart so I could continue to the next page of the survey. They are obviously popular so they must be doing OK in these categories.

I enjoy coming here for brunch on Sundays whenever I am in Gilroy. The food, service, and ambiance is consistently great! Noise level is lively on Sundays and they always have the football games on the big screens.

We love the ambiance and service at Westside grill. Unfortunately this time the food was just okay. The clam chowder soup was too salty and the calamari was not crisp. It seemed as if it was sitting out awhile.

We have been coming here for years, and for the first time ever, it had some flaws. First, never get the lettuce wraps. Several leaves were wilted and one was torn to shreds. Plus we were given one tiny one ounce cup of sauce. The other disappointment was that our server did not offer fresh ground pepper for our salads. Not a big deal, but all the other tables for this service. It's the little things. I hope this restaurant isn't starting to slide like so many others do.

James was a smiling friendly wait staff. Outdoor seating was beautiful,large umbrellas for shading, very little noise. Food portions large for sharing, beautifully presented, on separate plates. Outstanding breakfast experience.

Always a very enjoyable dining experience at Westside Grill. The halibut was great and my husband enjoyed his pasta with steak and asparagus. We ended with the key lime pie which was tangy and delicious.

Ribeye steak and prime rib were awesome. Service was excellent, we were seated right away and the host was gracious.
We ate outside which is in a lovely courtyard area by a beautiful fountain. Although the four of us were seated by ourselves, the wait staff did not forget about us. Their timing with the wine list, order taking, and serving was impeccable. Solid wine list at reasonable prices. We had the tempura green beans and calamari for starters- Both were very good with generous portions. Our table ordered halibut and the steak salad, plus two other entrees, which were all beautifully plated and tasted great. One of our guests had creme brulee for dessert and I did not hear any complaints. For what we ordered, I thought the tab was reasonable. This restaurant is a positive choice with a varied menu that will fit any food preferences.

It was my partner's birthday, and we were hoping for a special celebration. Despite informing the server/hostess about the occasion through the app, it seemed to be completely overlooked. This oversight left us feeling rather let down, as the experience felt more like a routine meal than a celebration. I can't help but question why OpenTable even prompts for such information if it isn't valued. While the food was decent, the lack of acknowledgment for my partner's special day cast a shadow over the entire evening.

I have patronized Westside grill for many years and had not had a bad experience. On this particular outing my wife ordered a fish platter. Unfortunately, it was flavorless and lacked texture. It took an inordinate amount of time for our meal to be served given the fact that I ordered a salad and other tables which arrived after us were served prior to our meal arriving. The very positive side of the meal was that our server was very gracious and apologetic when informed of the situation. We have never complained about any item ordered when we dine here so this was not a normal occurrence. Not sure but if the fish was frozen and defrosted it certainly tasted as such. This review is more for management than anything else. We certainly plan on eating here again since it is one of our favorite restaurants.
