After extremely bad service at Buffalo Wild Wings, we decided to head to Applebees. Rhonda was our server and after we explained our fiasco at the other place she made us feel right at home and made up for the negative experience 1000%. She was absolutely wonderful. Definitely going back there. Thanks Applebees and thank you Rhonda.

This review is for a Susie at the bar, she is a sweetheart and tries hard to keep everyone happy! Their happy hour is wonderful and great food prices. One bad apple we noticed was a worker named, Ed. He had a terrible demeanor and work ethic. He was lazy and insulting to his coworkers it appeared. I know they can't hang onto her, but we had great service, great drinks and food from Susie!

Yet another restaurant in Ranco Cordova to knock off the list. Ordered carside to go. Service was slow. Asked for steak to be medium rare, it was well done like shoe leather. Potatoes were bland and unseasoned. The green beans had plenty of garlic but overcooked to mush. My father's riblets were almost beef jerky, very dry. Waste of money.

Applebee's in Gold River has always enjoyed a poor reputation. Many who lived nearby would try it, then try it again so to give them a second chance. Eventually they gave up as either the food, the service, or both, was consistently lousy. Applebee's new corporate management assured they were making attempts to turn the restaurant chain around. Well, they haven't succeeded, at least not in Gold River. The vegetables were overcooked with the fajita, the chicken under-cooked with the strawberry chicken salad, and the happy hour is a total joke. A decent beer is twice the cost of other nearby happy hours (Coors and Bud Lite are not decent). A foo-foo drink of mostly fruit punch, with a hint of alcohol, served in a glass completely filled with ice, $8. I am confident the ingredients cost at least 25 cents, yet they term this "happy hour". Spent $50 on nothing. Seriously, I drove straight home to get something to eat. Do yourself a favor and skip Applebee's Gold River. The sooner this chain goes out of business, the better.

I came to Sacramento to visit family for an event. My husband and I arrived a day early and wanted a nice, light meal. We were deciding between Applebee's and Chili's. My sister (local to the area) wanted Chili's. Hubby and I (Southern California) wanted Applebee's. Nothing beats Applebee's late night happy hour! We came to this Applebee's and WOW!!!! We should have: A- heeded the reviews B- listened to my sister from the start We arrived around 9:30PM and when we walked up, there were a few people waiting to be seated. We were confused as to why they were waiting because there were so many tables available throughout the restaurant. We stood at the hostess podium for about 5 minutes then were approached by the hostess- Theresa. I say approached instead of greeted because it was just a "how many?" No welcome, no hi, just "how many?" When I replied three, Theresa tells us there is an hour and a half wait to be seated! This restaurant closes at midnight. If at 9:30 there is an hour and a half wait time, why even seat anymore guests? I looked around and asked Theresa why there is a long wait time when there are so many empty tables. She replied " we just sat 60+ people and there is a party of 20 waiting to be seated. The three of us are still perplexed because the tables which were empty are scattered throughout the restaurant and it's just the three of us. We decided to leave as it was apparent this Applebee's did not want our business. I called the restaurant later to speak to a manager for clarification and was told for a party of three he definitely had seating and to please come back. We declined and ultimately ate at Chili's. Best choice ever. Service at Chili's was outstanding! Food at Chili's was great! Atmosphere at Chili's was awesome! IMO, the hostess, Theresa, could benefit from customer service training, and reading some of the reviews, she's not the only one. CHILI's for the win in NorCal!!!

I am not sure what happened but we got seated and we place our order and about 5 to 10 later our waiter asked the table next to us if they where ready to order and some how they got there food before we even got our appetizer. Mind you I order bread sticks. So 45 min after I sat down We got your food. So needless to say I won't be going back to this one ever again

Ordered food for delivery thru GrubHub. I ordered the mac n cheese with the honey peppered chicken. I've had this dish before and loved it. My husband and I use GrubHub delivery a few times a month and are generally pleased, however this mac n cheeses did not taste ANYTHING like it does in the restaurant and the chicken strips were not honey pepper, plain old chicken strips. SUPER DISAAPPOINTING!

Ok I Walk In, Ask for a "Table at Window Facing the Front". Hostess just Walks Off Without Any Word. She was Gone for 5mins, I Decided to Seat Myself with the Menus! Now I Have Been Sitting Here for over 10 Minutes Being Completely Ignored? Really? Time for the Manager!! Never Again at This Applebees!

Came here with a friend for Cinco de mayo. They were having 1 dollar margaritas. They would not do frozen...just on the rocks. I drank part of one...not really a drinker...the flavor was very good. It was so strong...or maybe it was me because I never drink.

It was so strong...or maybe it was me because I never drink. Our waiter was kind and kept checking on us. The place was not too busy yet. We ordered a couple orders of the chicken wonton tacos. They were very light and flavorful...The meat seemed like it had a teriyaki flavor. For happy hour you get 4 tacos for like 4 dollars. I would recommend them.

Love this Applebee's.. my family's fave. Everyone is super friendly, our food and drinks always cooked/served to perfection, and on the rare occasions they are not perfect there is always a manager to help us get it right. See you in the neighborhood :)

Great customer service! Food came fresh and hot well flavored! Appetizers came out wings were cooked and fresh, came out hot but mozzarella sticks came out cold. Serving sizes are amazing definitely and to take some home. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because my appetizer came out cold!

we ordered to go and when husband got home we were missing items from our order, and both of our burgers were red in the middle even after specifying "no pink". when we called we were put on hold to "find out if we can even bring it back".
