This is the best restaurant in Gold River and one of the best in Sacramento, hands down. True hidden gem. My family has been going for years and we look forward to many lunches and dinners to come. Food is amazingly prepared and always fresh, great portions and quality- each plate could be $10 more expensive and I’d still happily pay. Don’t tell the owner. We love the atmosphere, great indoor and outdoor dining and always amazing service. If you don’t know about Z California Cuisine I feel bad for you! Only place I recommend anyone to try with full confidence they’ll have a great experience.

Good for groups. An understandable and not particularly inspired menu. The chicken sandwich has a decent portion of meat on it. Sweet potato fries were soggy and cold. Skip the pizza. Service is just fine. The decor is in need of an update - very 90s - and not in a good way.

Wonderful fine dining casual environment. Our server was great, the food was amazing, l Loved the open face lobster salad sandwich and salad. The porch environment was beautiful on a sunny afternoon and the whole family had a great time.

This is an amazing place to have a meal! Not only is the menu creative and full of tasty classic dishes, the wine menu was extensive and of the highest quality. The service was excellent and we were offered various wine tastings along with a whole list of specials. My mother wanted sangria and they didn’t have any but the waiter found a wine she liked even better! We were treated like royalty and I cannot wait to have a meal here again!

Zinfandel Grill is always very tasty and nicely presented. Last time I went there I tried pizza and it didn't disappoint.

Had the Pork Chop dinner and it had no flavor nor the Mashed Potatoes. Will not be going back. It's a place for locals that have gotten used to flavor LESS.
