Great tacos and service. I’ve been coming here every week for over a year and love their carne asada tacos and the atmosphere is always welcoming and friendly. By far my favorite, most consistent Mexican food in the Sacramento area.

Finally, good authentic Mexican food in the Granite Bay area! A quiet little hole in the wall establishment (always the best kind) with traditional Mexican fare.

Kid-friendliness: Casual and laid back.

El Sombrero is one of my families favorite Mexican restaurants. The food is fresh, delicious and made to order. We were there after we left the GBHS homecoming game last Friday night and they had a 2 person mariachi band playing. It was nice.

This restaurant has really good posole. Not a lot of fat. Truly authentic. A carona or model pair very well with posole or mendoza. Athletic all the way here

I now have a second favorite Mexican place to go to in Sacramento. The food was fantastic and authentic. Good portions with good flavor throughout and the variety was what a Mexican restaurant should have.

I recently dined at El Sombrero Taqueria with my family, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. My son's crispy taco was incredibly greasy, my carne asada plate was bland, and even the rice and beans lacked flavor. The prices were higher than other local taquerias, and the lack of flavor made it hard to justify the cost. I won't be returning, and I'm puzzled by the high ratings this place has received. On a positive note, the service was good, and the atmosphere was average.
