So I must admit that I often forget about this establishment, even though it is only a couple of miles from where I lived when I first moved to CA. I actually work in the local wine industry and this place never disappoints. They have an eclectic selection of wines, their mark up is minimal and I often find a random bottle that exceeds my expectations.

My husband found this place and was so excited to take me there for wine tasting. But when we got there the owner loudly insulted my husband for smelling like smoke (he smoked outside), and no one provided any service to us. It was disheartening, I felt like I wanted to cry. I might try going back, and if the service improves I’ll change this review, but based on everything I’ve read and seen, the owner seems rude and discriminatory towards which customers he chooses to cater to.
Great craft beer, wine and liquor selection. Nice, tidy and clean store. Love that they have a "tasting room" and bar on site.

Personally, I am appalled by the high rate of liquor this guy sells. It's at least 30 or 40% more expensive than raley's right down the street. The owner is not necessarily that polite. After one or two encounters, it's clear I will never be coming back to this store. Even though it's right around the corner from my house. Largely because of the dismissive attitude of the owner.

What an excellent store! I’m a big mezcal, scotch and whiskey guy and Lakeside has it all!! Highly recommend this store - it has a vast selection and great prices. The owner Sam is also very knowledgeable about wine and spirits and equally kind…he will take great care of you and make sure you leave with everything you need!

It's a true blessing to have Lamya and Sam in our lives! They are a hardworking couple with big hearts and a lovely family! Lots of hard to find wines and spirits, Sam the owner takes the time to understand what you enjoy and finds products that you may like according to your taste ,customer service is A+.Very pleasant atmosphere, the bar area is super cool , you can spend a nice day just sampling new arrivals , definitely a must visit .Thank you Sam !
