Lovely little hole in the wall. Literally my only criticism was trying to find it in the dark. I had the penne al samone which was so delicious with generous portions. The waitress was helpful and attentive. I don't give 5 stars often but this place deserves it.

The service has gone downhill, food is decent quality Italian, but with so many Italian places available in a small community they need to step up their customer service. Otherwise Dominick's, Sette pasta, even macaroni grill etc will be taking all their business. Bread was cold, mussels were ok and have continually not been as good as years past, pear Gorgonzola salad is always delicious and pesto gnocchi was good.

My second time here and both times we were amazed by the food. Place is so small and it is so inconspicuous but what a jewel. We get the peach Bellini for drinks, the bread for an appetizer and so far have tried 4 main dishes. All delicious. Last time I had the carbonara with peas and bacon. They make it occasionally and it was delicious. The staff is courteous but it does seem like it gets busy here and the staff is on their toes.

Great little gem. Good Italian food at great prices! Love taking visitors here, they are always impressed. Especially my Italian friend.

We came here summer 2022 as I had some gift cards to celebrate my wife's birthday. I never go to Granite Bay so it was a bit of a haul and it was just way past Douglas Blvd. From the outside it looks like a gated farm house. Yelp seemed to have magically made my review for this place disappear along with my entree photos. All of our 3 dishes were underwhelming and most of all, the plates were beyond stingy in portion size. Barely above a child portion. Maybe some places the child portions are larger. The server was ok but wasn't overly friendly and a bit short with convos. The place seems to get it's locals as it is small but packed. I doubt I would return due to distance and dislike of especially the miniscule portion sizes. Italian is usually a feast. This place is more like a famine.

I had the margarita pizza and was disappointed. The crust on the bottom felt uncooked but the crust was crispy dough. The meatballs were delicious.

Celebrated my son's 25 Bday at VT. The service was good and food awesome. It is tucked away right off Douglas as you cross Auburn-Folsom. I highly recommend this restaurant- also fairly priced with generous, Italian portions.

This was our first time to this restaurant on the strong recommendation of a very good friend of mine. The food was as advertised. Very delicious including the bread pudding Ala Mode which normally I'm not a fan of but my friend insisted I try it. My wife and I shared & loved the lasagna, the salad, everything! The four star rating is solely based on the whole experience. I am wine industry and it is industry etiquette to share a glass of wine with your server or sommelier or chef if you bring in your own wine with dinner. Equally, it is the etiquette of most restaurants to wave of discount the corkage fed for industry, however not all restaurants recipercate that courtesy and I understand that. Where I draw the line is when you extend that courtesy to the waitress and the owner who happened to be covering for the chef that evening and your waitress instead of waiving your corkage fee, waves it for the table of obnoxiously loud group of four sitting right in front of us simply because they kept badgering her to waive their corkage fee even though not one of them in the party offered or shared not even a splash of their wine with her , the owner, the dishwasher, no one! So, what is the compelling reason to waive their fee? Talk about feeling excreted on, that was poor judgment and certainly disrespectful to industry professionals. The foursome in front of us were so loud, and filthy mouthed that when we were leaving the restaurant, the loudest one said to me as we pasted their table, " have a good evening, I hope we weren't too loud and boisterous for you guys"! To which I chose to decline to even respond. If you have to say that to the rest of the guests trying to enjoy an intimate dinner experience, you know damn well you were too loud and obnoxious!!! Also, restaurant personnel should not be so scared to lose business that they fail to politely and discretely go over to a table that's behaving like they're at a hockey game or concert to ask them to please be respectful for the rest of the guests who would like to here the conversation at their own table but can't because they've taken over the whole room with their immature behavior. That's unfortunate when the food is great but the etiquette of the restaurant and the unbridled behavior allowed by their regular customers kill the atmosphere and experience of a first time guests!!! Not sure if I'd go back!

I wanted to take my newly minted 18 yr old out for a real Italian dinner. We shared the pear walnut salad to start. Had the wonderful bread service with piping hot baguettes and olive oil/balsamic and fresh garlic for dipping. She had the spaghetti and meatballs and I had chicken piccata. Ordering a side of pasta was ordered as an afterthought, American style

The service was good but the food was horrible. My wife ordered the tagliatelle with mushrooms and it was if the chef somehow sucked all of the flavor out of the dish. Unfortunately he didn't remove the grit from the mushrooms. I ordered the lasagna because I wanted to taste this restaurant's take on an Italian classic. I have no idea what the chef added to this dish for flavoring but it didn't remotely resemble any lasagna I've ever tasted and I never want to taste this flavor again. It was terrible. I don't know if there are any other dishes on the menu that resemble any kind of Italian cooking. What we had was not worth eating and I'm never want to waste almost $100 on disgusting food like this on anything else again. I'm not one to write reviews, but I felt I had to warn anyone else that tries this place about what they can expect. I had to add a star to post this but I really should give it a negative star rating.
