The food was every bit as good as my daughter raved about. We stop on our way to Paso Robles, a small detour. I ordered a combination plate. Chili Relleno, beef taco., Chili Verde enchilada. My daughter loves their Chili Verde, so she had the Chili Verde plate. The food was excellent, the owners, chef and hostess/ waitress were very friendly. Enjoyed every moment of our experience. Great time, great food with beautiful folks. You won't find a better place. Can't wait for our next time passing through.

I've been going here for years the Dad use to run it now the son and his wife took over food is still great it's always packed and popping. I recommend the Michelada ?and camarones?? a la Diabla ???? straight fuego not for the weak hearted❤️ ?.
El Tapatio is my favorite Mexican food restaurant. The food is amazing! The owners are so caring and friendly. My favorite is the sope. The sope is handmade when you order it. The fish tacos are delicious. Best taquitos and beans we have ever had. Anything you order will be delicious.

We have been eating here since 1998 and although we moved to Arizona, we always return when travelling through California. Strange as it may be, we can not find Mexican food this good in all of Arizona!!!Went back this past Thursday and had all our favorites: chili relleno, chili verde enchilada, chicken enchilada, al pastor tacos and, of course, the fresh chips and salsa. As good as ever, complimented by the joy of our hosts stopping by the table to chat.
