The atmosphere in the restaurant is great, rich with history and it's like a museum in there dedicated to the history of Guadalupe. The Food is great, and really affordable. I got a cheeseburger, a coke and some chips this afternoon and my total was under $10! While the burger in and of itself isn't much to write home about, I HIGHLY recommend the carne asada with refried Beans, the meat is delicious and the refried beans are ACTUAL refried beans, none of that canned...
been going for years and always above and beyond delicious you could ever want. made to order dishes. very nice friendly owner and cook. super clean restaurant. i still enjoy going for breakfast as well as lunch/ dinner. never a bad dish anytime.
I’ve been driving by this place for years and finally stopped for Sunday lunch. It has a nice, historic, neighborhood atmosphere with some locals enjoying lunch. Perhaps we hit it on a bad day, but sadly our food was mediocre at best. My chili verde only had perhaps 5 or so small bite-sized chunks of pork, with the rest comprised of a watery sauce. No tomatillo or chili flavor. My wife only ate a bite of her taco because she said it tasted funny and I agreed. Service was inattentive...
