Feels like home immediately upon entering. Papa Jay is super helpful and has a kind energy. I got the fried catfish nuggets, Mac n cheese, and potato salad. The potato salad was good although I found eggshells throughout. Mac n cheese was so good! A little bit of heat in it too! The catfish nuggets were big and fried perfectly. I'm absolutely coming back to try the rest of the menu and to share some laughs with Papa Jay!
There is better bbq within a 20 mile radius, and you won't wait for an hour for one plate of food. Best food in the area!! Photos looked great online, so I drove 2.5 hours from L.A. here for lunch, and was blown away! So flavorful, portion sizes are great, and that homemade sweet tea is out of this world!
