“Great Service & Atmosphere, But Food Could Use Some Tweaks”
The staff was friendly and attentive, and the restaurant had a cool retro vibe, which we appreciated. We ordered the potatoes and avocado toast. Unfortunately, the potatoes seemed like they had been prepared much earlier (or possibly the day before) – they were dry, cold, and had a slightly bitter taste. The avocado toast was different from what we expected. We’re used to fresh avocado on two slices of toast with scrambled eggs, but this version had only one slice of toast and an avocado mixture rather than fresh slices. A little more clarity on the menu about the preparation would be helpful. We loved the atmosphere and service, and with some tweaks to the food, this place could be even better!

All the ladies behind the counter were pretty polite and quick. They have Pliny the elder and other beers available for sale too. They have outdoor seating as well, which overlooks the river.

Worst service I've experienced on the river in almost 20 years as a resident and local business owner. after having to pay almost $50 dollars on a couple of sandwiches, I noticed the food prep line workers making my food weren't wearing gloves. When asked, if they could put gloves on per health code, the cashier proceeded to put me down and call me ghetto and ran and hid in the back of the office. did not offer to make anything right and left her crew standing there. Neither she nor any other staff did anything to correct the health code violations to prevent cross contamination. especially as a local business owner on the river I sure hope this is not how we as a community represent the locals. very unprofessional and disappointing.

Taste 8/10Service 5/10Execution 3/10Walking away with a wet sandwich'.17 dollars! They use gas station toilet paper as napkinsThey slice the sandwich so it pores out the liquid.Drain the peppers before you ad them.Again, taste is 90 out of 100Execution 3 out of 10.All meat is stacked up in the middle. The bread is too thick. They charge too much because they are unable to make a good sandwich. Then the 90 out of a 100 taste gets thrown out the door with their refreshing mint after, aka a horrible root beer candy that will destroy any capable pallet, lacking any urge to explore west county wine region any further that day.Lots of hope but now effort.Good product but lack of respect towards it.When you cut a good sandwich diagonally when the juices are flowing to marinate that bread too soon, that’s a loss to all you try to accomplish.
Sitting by the river in the dappled sunshine eating my delicious gluten free Hot Pastrami sandwich the day couldn’t get any better. They took good precautions to avoid cross contamination with my sandwich. Highly recommend.
