We saw other reviews on Yelp and decided to try it. The treats are lovely. I especially liked the Bean cupcake. It was very rich and gooey. If we return to Hanford we will definitely make another visit.

My family has been getting the Pao secos from here since I was a child. Family owned, DELICIOUS, QUALITY BREAD. I hope they stay open forever

Loved stopping in here while doing a job in Hanford. Very nice Portuguese gentleman showed me around the bakery... And it's not just a bakery! They have all sorts of products and cheeses and meats and amazing imported items from Portugal! We ordered some of the pastries and next time we'll get some of the breads and other fantastic items!

Great store! Owner is friendly and helpful. Great selection of portugese goods including but not limited to meat, sodas, teas, canned fish, candy, sauces, local dried Fava beans, and fresh taro. The in-house baked goods are phenomenal. This was my first time there, but I will be back. Two final notes 1. This place is Cash Only!! 2. Although he has "gluten free" items they dust with flour for the cupped items and there are no cross contamination procedures at all so if you are Celiac it is all a no go.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free items with major cross contamination. Not Celiac safe

Stopped by on my way to Santa Clara. I bought some sweet bread for my 80 year old Portuguese parents. They I can be really critical when Portuguese food sucks... the bread passed the test! So if my Madeira born mom and dad like the food from this bakery- then it's the real deal

I really appreciate that they have gluten-free pastries. My favorite was the custard-filled one, but everything I tried was great. I bought a round loaf of the break-a-part sweet bread for a gift. It's very pretty.

This is my first time coming in. I just got married in Portuguese and I wanted to my husband who is African-American to try some Portuguese desserts. We drove 37 minutes to try some Portuguese pastries and I just can't believe this happened to us. Once we walked in and they noticed my husband three men that were there moved away from him. Once it was time to pay the owner, which is a cashier, would it take money from my husband's hand so my husband placed the money on the counter and the owner took it. Once it was time to give the change back, the owner gave me the change instead of him. I just can't wrap my head around all this it's 2023 and we still have racism in the world. I really wish I can give them zero stars.

This place has THE best Portuguese sweet rolls, period, but their whole bakery is awesome. They always have a variety of pastries and cookies. Their shop also carries many imported and American-made Portuguese goods, including cheese, linguica, soft drinks, and candies. Since this is a small business, don’t fully rely on their open hours listed online; check their Facebook page or signs posted on their front window.

Being of Portuguese heritage, this bakery warms my heart.Memories of my youth comes to life when I come here.P.S.You don't have to be Portuguese to enjoy this wonderful establishment.

Such a unique find for us. The gentleman, I assume the owner, was very kind and helpful. They only take cash. I was giving odd amounts of change to get an even quarter back and explaining to my kids how to count their money and change. He was so patient and offered a little praise for teaching them a simple but important skill in this age of plastic currency.

Awesome breads at this place. People there are super friendly.

Awesome Portuguese bread! Usually have to call in-store for orders, because they sell out quickly. especially around the holidays. But it's totally worth it!
