I ordered a large milkshake there wasn't much milk in it and it wasn't very thick at all it was more like drinking a glass of milk that someone had put ice cream in it
Great flavors and options! Highly recommend! They also are very nice and welcomed us in when they were in the process of closing. Tell everyone about this new establishment in Hanford CA!
I spent a week flight training at Hanford Airport, and Leon’s Ice Cream quickly became my end-of-day reward, I went four times in one week! There are two reasons I kept coming back: the ice cream creations are out of this world, and the service is just as sweet. Paul deserves special mention — his friendly energy and attention to detail made every visit a treat. Seriously, someone give that man a shield and a raise! On my last stop, Anmahi was just as wonderful, wrapping up my week with a smile and another perfect cone.
100% recommend 👌
This place was so good I had to bring my wife to try it, she was upset I tried it without her lol
Prices are decent, customer service is great. Gives Michoacana a run for it’s money. Several ice cream flavors to choose from & a good variety of antojitos. AC wasn’t working when I went but it was worth waiting in the heat for my order.
Love going to get their Aqua Fresca drink to cool me down.
SHORT VERSION:
Nice local ice cream shop with a good-sized serving.
LONGER VERSION:
It was a warm day when I parked next to Leon's. It took very little to convince me to walk in and order.
The decor is an eclectic mix of street vendor and la michoacana. The walls are a bright aquarium color that makes it feel a bit like being in a swimming pool. I'd hoped it would be cooler than it was, but the shop seems to be cooled by a large fan. That's all right - I was here for ice cream!
About two dozen flavors were available in the cases, both regular (Edy's) and fruit flavors. I'd come in thinking of getting mint chip (which they have). The friendly woman behind the counter offered me samples, and I found myself ordering the limon ice instead. Delicious on a hot day!
I got the small cup, which she filled and rounded up for me to a sizeable portion for my $6.
My only negative was the added charge ($.75) for using a credit card, but I get that small shops need to add a bit where they can.
I'm still working on finishing my limon ice. Fabulous!
BOTTOM LINE:
Want ice cream? Stop here!
Tried the churro deluxe. Super good! Switched up the original scoop of vanilla for a peanut chocolate. 🔥🔥🔥
Terrible taste!!!! Ordered two fruit cups with mango, cucumber and pineapple. It taste like the fruit was rotten. By far the worst fruit cups EVER!! I also ordered two juices that were full of ice and barely any juice! Lastly a cup of corn that once again smelled funny and tasted even worst nothing but I think butter and cheese. Will never go again! Stay away........... and they are expensive compared to other fruit places!
