First time going here in years. Last time I went was when I was a sophomore in high school probably when I was 16. I'm turning 23 in a few months. The one thing I was disappointed about was that there was no more unlimited ice cream, it's a one per person order which includes matcha, rainbow sherbet, strawberry, and coffee. I recommend the strawberry. I don't think anything changed on the inside or outside, looks the same. Firstly, the service was good. I came on 2/27/2024, Tuesday, not packed, plenty of open tables, no line, and maybe had to wait 2 minutes to be seated. Our primary server (longer haired guy), was good, checked up on us a lot, and was fast. We did have to wait for our water to be filled for awhile but after the first time it was faster. It seemed he had a lot of ground to cover because he was working and walking back and forth so much and so quick. Other staff were nice as well. As for the food, it's what you can expect from 30 dollar KBBQ. Nothing mind blowing. The menu is a little more limited than other places like GEN, but I normally order few items anyways. The sides were standard; the bean sprouts tasted old. I read in another review that this was the case for them too. They also said the sides were salty, but it tasted fine to me. I did like the steamed egg and the broth it came mixed with to the point where I was going to ask if I could get the broth by itself. As for the aesthetic, the outside is kind of outdated, don't think it has been remodeled in a while, but that's not what I was there for. The inside is not what modern KBBQ standardly is. In a lot of the newer places there's loud music going on, trendy, hip interior, and things of that nature that make it seem like a club almost. This feels more like a family restaurant; no loud music, you can talk to each other without straining your vocal cords. The owner...(old Korean lady) So I've seen some reviews about the owner and I have to say it is somewhat true. She talked to me 3 times. When arriving, when asking if we were done to take our grill, and for the payment (they take Apple Pay). Probably 10-15 words from her. She was normal to me. However she was watching the staff like a hawk. She stood at the register and watched everything going on and gave instructions to the staff a lot. I have a feeling that's why my server was moving so fast. For my final order of food I ordered two plates of the beef brisket, the girl who got it for me came back and had one plate, apologizing and saying sorry, and she got in trouble because she wasn't supposed to bring out that much food. It ended up being fine because I was stuffed on that last plate. If you have a seat facing the register, where the owner is, and observe you'll see what I'm talking about. I already wanted to tip my server because of the excellent service, but I wanted to tip more because I felt bad for him being micromanaged and monitored.

First time going with the ladies and we all enjoyed ourselves. The meats selections were great, the tables were roomy, of course the ice cream, and the service was great as well. We had a packed house and the service team were moving before you could even think it! Will definitely be back.

Had the best experience I've had here in over 6 years!!! The quality of food and service dropped for a while, but tonight they exceeded every expectation I had -- HONESTLY! This is the only place very close to me, so I used to only come here for convenience, but tonight their quality really shined. Beef Belly, Beef Rib Finger, Large Intestine, and Pork Belly were great -- even the banchan and salad. The steamed egg was deeelish. They finish with a perfect serving of ice cream too! The prices seem to raise every time I'm here, but to have good food so close to my home -- I'm willing to pay a premium. If it gets to over $35pp ($31 right now), I would reconsider as the meats aren't very high tier. Our initial soju glasses were cracked and dirty, but we asked for new ones no problem. We had a young man as our main server, and he was incredibly attentive and great at remembering everything we ordered -- all of the servers at the time though were great (came on a chill, calm Thurs Night). They had sports playing on TVs and good throwback music, but not too loud so it was just the right setting. I don't usually write such long posts, but they really did deserve it. Can call this place a reliable go-to for me and my family/friends.

The food was amazing! We got several kinds of meat and seafood and it was so fresh and flavorful. The sides were perfect and the servers were ready to bring us more whenever we needed. The green tea ice cream was the perfect ending. I want to eat it all again today!

I thought Gen was the best but then I went to this place and instantly fell in love. Glass noodles are a gem!
We were harassed by the employees and who may have been the owner (older Korean woman) to finish up and leave so they could seat another party. We had been at our table for almost an hour and a half and there was a table next to us that was there much longer than we were (they were already seated and eating when we sat down). The time limit states 2 hours maximum. We used come come here all the time for KBBQ. We won't be coming back ever again.
