Lived in the area my whole life and without a doubt the best and freshest sushi around. It's the only sushi spot around that I'll eat sashimi at.

I ordered delivery and while the food came fast and the service was good, I wasn't blown away the forest roll like others were. To me it was overrated and it tasted okay. The super crunch roll was a little bit better with the creaminess and crunch but then again, I wasn't blown away. Good, not bad. Maybe I'd stop and eat at the establishment rather than ordering! Willing to give it another try l since most l yelpers loved this restaurant!

Came across this hidden gem in Hawaiian Gardens. Great selection of sushi rolls and freshly made. We tried a couple of different rolls along with the Edamame and really enjoyed them. After trying, you can tell the quality is really good. Overall great experience and service was great as well.

I tried coming here last year, silly me couldn't find the place but this time around, I got lucky and I was able to find the location easily. Aside from Mexican. Sushi is one of my favorite treats I enjoy at least once a month. I don't think I have ever had a bad sushi experience ever. I have gone to quite a few different locations and I have a favorite in Cerritos but Sushi Forest is just as impressive. I was blown away today by some of the items I received in my order. The jalapeño bomb hit the spot, was spicy but not too much, very unique item I enjoyed. I also ordered the pink lady only because of the name but the dish itself was beautiful and tasted fresh and was absolutely delicious. Also got the Catalina sushi, I think it had cucumber, was also fresh and delicious. This location is clean and the staff was very cool and welcoming. Location and parking are good. I highly recommend!

A friend of mine was in town visiting and we decided to get some dinner. He has celiacs and cannot have gluten. Typically Asian places give us a good amount of options since bread is typically not a factor. I looked up places near where he was staying and we decided to try Sushi Forest. It's a smaller spot, with a sushi bar in the corner. A couple of TVs with the World Series we're on. Music was playing in the background. It wasn't so loud that you can't talk or enjoy your food. We asked the server about some of the sauces that are on the rolls. Soy sauce is not gluten free, and typically eel sauce is not. They also have a Japanese dressing on some of their rolls which uses soy sauce in it. We just asked that no sauces be put on any rolls. Spicy mayo was safe but none of the soy based ones. The server came back and found out that their eel sauce was safe too. We ordered dynamite roll, volcano roll, and a caliente roll. All sauces on the side. Another person came out to tell us that unfortunately the dynamite seafood mix on top is premade and it has some soy sauce in it. They asked us if we wanted it still or if we would rather pick something else. We said we would look at the menu. But before we could pick, he said, actually I can just make it with the spicy mayo for you guys. They were super accommodating and friendly. The food was all delicious. My wife ordered tamago, agedashi tofu, and California rolls. She said all were delicious too. Highly recommend this hidden gem in Hawaiian Gardens.

Great experience! Not only was the food delicious, but the service we received was superb! Jin waited on us and was very attentive. He made suggestions and helped me decide what to eat. He even brought us a piece of fish (salmons neck) to try. Very nice. It was yummy. I forgot to take a picture of everything that we ate, but I had the Rising Sun Roll, and the Forest Seafood Ramen. Both very tasty! We also got the bento box with chicken teriyaki and the Ca roll. I will definitely eat here again. If not for the food, for sure for the service. Thank you again!

The Salmon sashimi was perfect! Great service very nice staff. Nice interior. You wouldn't know it from the unassuming shopping center exterior. Coming back for sure. 5 stars!
