As a fan of Mexican cuisine, I'm excited to share my experience at Tacos Sahuayo, a hidden gem with roots in Sahuayo, Michoacán - a city I'm familiar with.

A Long-Time Presence:

Tacos Sahuayo has been serving our community for years, and its enduring popularity speaks volumes.

Nachos Review:

As a nacho enthusiast, I had to try theirs. While good, they didn't top my list. The portion was generous, but heavy on the beans. If you're a bean lover, you'll enjoy!

Tacos Shine:
Their tacos, however, stole the show. Soft tortillas, flavorful meats, and fresh toppings made for an authentic experience.

Standout Features:

Decent Prices: Affordable without compromising quality.
Salsas Galore: Variety of homemade salsas adds depth to each dish.

There have been two times that I have asked for sopes and both times they have given me them raw from the inside and since I had no other choice I ate them and they hurt me, both times, it's disgusting I will never go again

I like the food, except that in the water they give you more ice than water, that's the only thing I don't like, but the Menudo is very good, as is the pork with chili and the wet burritos.

Ordered a Torta de Milanesa and I was very disappointed. Bread was stale and hard and the milanesa was burnt. I ate as much as I could cuz I was hungry but not going back. This was my 2nd time here, last time I ordered tacos and there tortillas are handmade but there was too much tortilla and not enough meat, making every bite dry. I'm through with Sahuayo. Grub w Greg idk bro?

Overall - a positive experience!

Finding Tacos Sahuayo wasn't too hard in the strip mall plaza. Coming in on a Saturday at lunchtime, it was moderately busy with a lot of tables all over. The cashier was super nice and easily able to order. It helped to know a little bit of Spanish in ordering and asking questions. Once I ordered (along with ordering water), I sat at a comfy table nearby. After about waiting 5-7 minutes, the food came out and gave it all a try!

I got the carne asada combo (#3). This came with two pretty big pieces of carne asada, grilled onions, lettuce, beans, rice, and flour tortillas. I believe everyone also got a small order of chips and salsa. At the table was a green crema sauce and a red slightly hot spicy sauce. Overall, I really enjoyed my meal! The sauces were all nice to have and add onto the various parts of the plate. It felt plentiful but not overly filling. My favorite parts were the sauces, the tortilla (tasted fresh and great), and the grilled onions.

Definitely would love to visit again in the future~

What a great find! I've been to many of the Mexican food spots on Carson in Hawaiian Gardens but somehow Tacos Sahauyo escaped me.

The menu had much more to offer than your average taqueria. I asked the cashier for some recommendations and she said the chile relleno were super popular and also that they had just finished a new batch of posole. I ordered both. They were both great. The red sauce with the chile relleno had a nice kick to it and I really enjoyed that they used queso fresco in the chili instead of a more melty cheese. The posole was very rich and well seasoned without being salty.

Another spot to add to my rotation for sure.

Terrible place, just today we ordered menu to take away and it turns out that the menu came out with cockroaches and we spoke to the place and their response was only if we are going to give them a credit for another menu

Well, it seems to me that they deleted my comment but I'll put it back to the new owners of this place, please put people in there who really want to work. I had to get a despotic lady to charge and serve who didn't even clean our table and was cleaning the others! ! And they don't even put chips or sauces and that's what we ordered to eat there!! And please, for many years we have visited this place and it is not fair that owners come who don't even know what Mexican food is!! We miss the cooks and employees who were there before!!!
Here I leave the photo of the despot lady
