This used to be one of my favorite restaurants. I live in South Orange County, and whenever I fly out of LAX, I always arrive early so I can eat at Chinese Friends schwan Restaurant. The two ladies who work there are always wonderful, and I genuinely enjoy talking to them. The food has always been great, and my favorite menu item has always been the Kung Pao Chicken.
However, tonight was a completely different experience. I ordered the same dish as always, but the food was slimy. I didn’t think much of it at first, but then I realized the chicken was raw. I informed the young lady working there, and they were apologetic and they took the item back to the kitchen. When they brought it out again, I started eating only to realize the chicken was still raw.
For the third time, they took it back and incredibly, they returned it a third time still raw.
Whoever was cooking had absolutely no idea what they were doing. If a customer sends food back even once, the kitchen should be checking it carefully before sending it back out—especially chicken. I worked in the restaurant industry for over 14 years, and you never send the same dish back to a customer once it has been returned. You remake it fresh and inspect it carefully, especially when dealing with raw poultry.
Once raw chicken is mixed with sauce, you cannot simply throw it back in the pan and expect it to cook properly. The sauce will burn before the chicken cooks thoroughly. This cooking 101. This is dangerous and can seriously harm someone.
I am flying to Washington, D.C. tonight, and I sincerely hope I don’t get sick on the plane. This was extremely disappointing, especially from a restaurant I have supported and visiting for long time.

The food is awful. I ordered wonton soup and it tastes burned. I ordered general tso chicken, more like private tso. The chicken in the soap and the meal feels stringy---like not a hardy piece of chicken. Do not go here.

I’ll never go again. I ordered shrimp fried rice. The rice was scraped from the pan and old and hard. No flavor rice was crunchy. No soy sauce. Soup was tasteless. Both soups were terrible. They serve bs.

What a delicious lunch experience 🤤!
From food to friendly staff and cooks! Our server greeted us as soon as we walked in. Offered us drinks while we looked at their menu. She was very knowledgeable about the dishes giving us suggestions that she thought it would be yummier (actually, everything seemed deli we couldn't decide). Once we ordered it didn't take long to enjoy our food and it was just as yummy as it looks. Fresh ingredients for sure! We certainly would be back!

Fried rice wasn’t “frying” and most of the food made here is underwhelming. The cashier was sweet and funny. She tried to do a good job.

Called today for the 3rd time in as many months. The 1st time someone answered. He asked if I could hold, and after 10 minutes of waiting. I just hung up. If they don't want my business, they won't get it. Just wanted to share so that others don't call in and waster their time. Maybe order in person?

Ordered egg drop soup but they delivered chicken vegetable soup in error … without egg. When I called to complain and seek a replacement, the young man insisted there was no error on their end and hung up on me. Won’t do business with them again.
