What a great place, we flew in from Mexico & we felt like we didn't get enough Mexican food. So we came here & this place did not disappoint. We got chilaquiles, machaca and eggs, and huevos divorciados, and two cafe de hollas ? I got the huevos divorciados & would have liked them a bit spicier, but that's just me. The machaca and eggs might have been a little dry according to my husband, but delicious. The portions are pretty big, we took some chilaquiles home. The place is super welcoming & I loved all of their attention to detail. Great place to enjoy a wonderful breakfast.Vegetarian options: Lacto-ovo vegetarian friendlyWheelchair accessibility: First floor, wide space to maneuver between tables & chairs can be arranged for wheelchairs

All reviews above 1 are surely paid reviews. just don't get why this place has good reviews. The eggs don't have taste, the steak was rancid, the coffee has tap water, the beans taste like tap water no flavor, and the bacon and sausage are the cheapest brand. This place is no where near authentic Mexican. Do not go here because you will get ripped off and disappointed with the food.

Not pictured here, my son got "Silence the Child" which comes with scrambled eggs, French toast and the best breakfast potatoes I've ever had.My boyfriend got chilaquiles with machaca and I got the "divorced eggs" pictured here.I loved how in both our meals the tortillas were soaked in their delicious sauce but remained crispy. The tres leches French toast was the same. I was afraid itd be too soggy but they were just right. The only set back for me was the coffee. Im already not a fan of cafe de olla but my boyfriend and I agree it's too sweet here. I rejected it immediately as I'm used to no sugar in my coffee but he was ok with it.Definitely recommended the meals we had though.

Food was good, service and price was fair. I like the vibe, and the cafe de olla. I had the french toast, they were good but nothing out of the ordinary. Would definitely come back.

Found this place as I was driving down Hawthorne Blvd. My boyfriend and I were going else where but we saw how packed it looked and we figured we would stop and try it. Parking was easy, we waited like 30 min to get seated which is totally understandable as they were packed and they don’t take reservations, you just sign in and wait to be called. Once you are seated everything goes by pretty quick.Let me just say, I am so glad we decided to stop. Food is so good. It definitely tastes authentic, iykyk. Staff is friendly, not over bubbly or over chatty. They are friendly and get it done. They bring the bill with some Mexican candies I haven’t had since I was a kid, talk about nostalgia. We paid and left full and satisfied! Will definitely be returning.

The service is useless, they take a long time and there is only one waiter, every 35 or 40 minutes they call the customer. To sit him down. They need to change the staff because otherwise their restaurant is going to go downhill, but it's the truth.

I recommend this place, if your looking for a aesthetic Mexican breakfast this is your place to go too. Also please get the tres leche French toast they are amazing, it’s not your typical sweet it’s just the right French toast. Also the cafe de olla is amazing super recommend.I would definitely come here again.

I will definitely be back. Everything was so yummy. Of course I had to try my co workers food too. It was yummy. Oh and the cafe de la olla omg yum. Customer service was excellent. Great sense of humor.

Extremely poorly run. Half the tables were empty, but they still had 15 people standing waiting to be seated. In the 20 minutes we waited, only one table that was sitting received food from the kitchen, despite very easily seeing a full staff in the kitchen, and only one table was able to place an order, despite multiple tables looking around expectantly. They haven't seemed to figure out how to operate as a restaurant yet it seems. There was no manager and no host. Just a few ladies walking around the front staring at a handheld POS systems and not acknowledging customers. Terrible experience, food looked good, but fat chances getting it in anything less than 2-3 hours. Poor ambiance as well, sparse room with no background music playing made for a very awkward environment. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Omg why is this place not packed.. came in at 8:30 and it was dead.. food is good and fresh and the cafe de la Olla is on point.. will come again. The place is clean and the waitress polite.

I really liked the place, the decoration and the food. We ordered a tres leches French toast to share but personally it wasn't that good, it felt super dry on the inside and didn't look toasted at all on the outside, it tasted like pure simple bread, But from then on the food was very delicious, the waitress was very friendly and the coffee was delicious.

The venue was pleasant, and the food met expectations, although it was only average. Unfortunately, there was only one waiter who had to multitask as the hostess, server, and runner for the entire restaurant. Regrettably, he wasn't the most welcoming greeter or attentive server, providing no time for suggestions or recommendations, as his primary focus was taking orders quickly and moving on to the next table.
