My family & I have been coming here for years. EDUARDO & staff have always provided excellent service, along with Justin always friendly. Great food, my favorite are the fajitas and coming for Sunday brunch & you can't miss taco Tuesday and their margaritas. You will definitely have a great time.

My experience at El Torito restaurant in Hawthorn was a mix of highs and lows, earning it a three-star rating from me. Let's start with the positives: the food was undeniably good and served in generous portions. I opted for the Mexican Caesar with salmon, and while it was delicious, I felt the salmon could have used a bit more seasoning to truly elevate the dish.However, the atmosphere left much to be desired. The main dining room felt dark, cold, and gloomy, with tables randomly scattered and insufficient seating. Even when seated, the tables and booths were uncomfortably small, especially for a party of four. Plus, the plates were huge, which only added to the cramped feeling.One of my pet peeves is receiving a salad that hasn't been properly dressed, and unfortunately, this was the case here. The salad arrived with the dressing on the side, requiring me to dress it myself at the table, which detracted from the dining experience.Lastly, the restaurant could benefit from a thorough cleaning, particularly around the windows and tables. A little extra attention to cleanliness would go a long way in improving the overall ambiance.In summary, while El Torito served up tasty food, the atmosphere and dining experience fell short of expectations. With some improvements in seating arrangements, seasoning, salad preparation, and cleanliness, it could easily earn a higher rating in the future.

I think the waiter was being overworked. He kept forgetting to bring things. I had to ask for some things more than 3 times. Also it took an extra long time with our food. The waiter was really nice though and that outweighed his forgetfulness. I really like this restaurant.
So much food and a good variety of options. Food was good, especially the churro pancakes. Busy parking lot.

My family and I dined at El Torito in Hawthorne and the service was amazing! Our server was Nate and he was great! From the momemt we entered the establishment, he greeted us with a smile. He sat us at our table and waited on us. He never lost his smile. He was friendly, attentive, and provided excellent customer service. Ivan, the manager, was also genuinely friendly. The atmosphere was chill and the food was good.Thank you for the experience!!

I love coming here for lunch or dinner. They have a pretty big location so you get sat quickly and the food also comes out in a timely manner. Our server was Kristen she was super nice and very attentive.

Food was okay, only because my carne asada was a little dry and I expected more flavor and for my rice to not be dry but our entire meal (went with my mom for my bday) was free and left the serve a tip. I'd def would go back for lunch if you're looking for a quiet environment to relax, etc. Everyone that works there was nice.
