This was the worst soul food I've ever tasted. Not authentic at all. They catered a Thanksgiving event for Peace 4 Kids on 11/18/23. First off The greens were extremely salty, lacked the seasonings that make a good pot of greens . When making greens without meat you're suppose to add liquid smoke and apple cider vinegar...(not sugar) to get that flavor right. The roasted potatoes were hard, undercooked and also overly salted. The yams were not candied, they were mashed sweet potatoes with sugar and not buttery, I'm sure they used margarine instead. The so called Mac n Cheese was fake kraft cheese powder or Velveeta. Not a single shred of REAL CHEESE was used. How do you make Mac and Cheese without Real cheese???♀️ It's sacrilegious to do so! Full plates of food were thrown in the trash with the same complaint. What a waste of resources.It was very dissapointing because with a name like Grandma's House, the care of providing authentic southern soul food should always be the highest order for those you feed. The integrity of Recipes should be maintained above all else. (Maybe you don't have any?) Otherwise, you're just like every other commercial fake food joint in and around LA. One request is to Please lay off the heavy handed salt. Black folks already suffer from high blood pressure.

For our company's Thanksgiving Luncheon, we faced the challenge of finding a caterer who could deliver a traditional turkey dinner for 50 people on short notice. We discovered Grandmas House Catering after conducting a Yelp! search in the El Segundo area. After reading some reviews, it became evident that they were experienced in crafting traditional-style turkey dinners. We promptly reached out, and Rhonda, who was exceptionally helpful, guided us through the process. Rhonda facilitated the selection of a robust menu and even took care of procuring drinks, utensils, plates, and tablecloths, sparing us the need for additional shopping. Throughout the process, Rhonda demonstrated remarkable flexibility. The delivery of our spread was prompt, and all the dishes were not only perfectly presented but also warmed and ready to be served. (Due to the onrush of hungry people, I was unable to snap a photo of the food...sorry!) The culinary experience exceeded our expectations; the food was not just delicious but surpassed what we could have hoped for. The generous portions left us with an abundance of leftovers, allowing us to share the delightful meal with colleagues in adjoining offices. Our order featured honey ham (which had RAVE reviews), deep-fried turkey with an excellent cranberry sauce, sweet and comforting yams, seasoned mashed potatoes and gravy, a refreshing green salad, a savory spinach and artichoke dip (one of my favorites), a flavorful and hearty vegetarian lasagna, stuffing, assorted pies, a peach cobbler, and mouthwatering macaroni and cheese. The positive feedback from our colleagues attested to the success of our choice, bringing us a sense of relief and satisfaction. We received high praises for the quality and flavor of the food. Without a doubt, Grandmas House Catering played a pivotal role in making our Thanksgiving Luncheon a resounding success. We look forward to using their exceptional services in the future. They made it easy and stress-free and it was such a pleasant experience. We had a variety of desserts and everything was delicious. They set up the table beautifully, and it was absolutely perfect. Everything got compliments from our guests. It was fresh and full of flavor.

Love their food and I love the owners! I had Grandma's house cater my work's holiday party and cater for my wedding. The food was amazing and I got so many compliments from my guests and coworkers. The owner's are so sweet, funny and you can tell they have a passion for food. I definitely recommend them!

I was really looking forward to trying some authentic American Soul food after our office manager announced that we were ordering catering from Grandmas House, and I researched the background behind this place. I wasn't expecting fried chicken, but I have to say this place offered way more healthy options and variety than I was expecting. The highlights of my experience were the fried chicken, corn bread, and the super cheesy mac n cheese. The herbs and the crispiness of the chicken was definitely a league above any thing I've had at fast food places that serve fried chicken. The seasoning was done just right without any of bit of saltiness. I am not sure what kind of cheese was used, but the mac n cheese had a firmness to the cheese that was refreshing (I don't like my mac n cheese too runny), and the flavor profile of the cheese tasted of a high end caliber. Corn bread was just the best darn corn bread I've had, with mild sweetness, strong corn flavor, and even good bits of corn mixed in. Very moist and tender, yet crumbles a bit when you handle it. Mixed greens were crisp and fresh and really balanced out the meal with much needed fiber for me. I felt the mushroom and string beans were pretty good, but nothing earth shattering. The shrimp on skewer sticks I felt were a little dry and plain so I don't recommend this as highly as the other items. Sheperd's pie was made from a ground beef layer along with a top layer of mashed sweet potato. The potato layer was very delicious, but the bottom meat layer could have used a little less salt IMO. Overall I had a very positive experience, and even my kids sampled a little of everything. They echoed my sentiments, except for the sheperd's pie, which my daughter was not a fan of.

Best food and service! I called Grandmas House Catering for a last minute breakfast order the following day, and although I was past the cutoff time Rhonda was SO sweet and agreed to fill the order for us. There breakfast food is our company's favorite, and the food always arrives hot and fresh. Morgan was our delivery driver and she was amazing. She was prompt, friendly, and went out of her way to give me a call to make sure she placed the delivery in the correct area. Cannot say enough good things about Grandmas House Catering, 10 out of 10 would recommend!
