MIDICI WOOD FIRED PIZZA & KITCHEN

I visited Midici in Hawthorne for lunch on Saturday, the 6th, and ordered a meats pizza. I discovered several hard pieces attached to the pepperoni and curious if it eatable.

Staff first told me it was collagen casing, but the texture felt stiff and ** plastic-like rather than edible. I then spoke with the on-duty manager, who told me it was
** plastic and issued a refund for that meal.

After eating, I vomited, which made the whole experience very upsetting. The next couple day, I emailed the manager (cc the store) to request an appropriate resolution for two people. As of one week later, I have not received any reply.

**** I hope the company will take food safety and customer concerns more seriously going forward.

Food was absolutely delicious. When we picked up our order, the young woman was apparently new, which I didn't mind. Everyone started new in their own position at some point. She was polite and friendly and despite the other woman intentionally not helping her, even when she asked for help, she provided good customer service. Would have been 5 stars if the other 2 woman were as polite as she was.

Ok food. Good service. Bad price transparency. I ordered a Corona based on beer list by cashiers, just to find out “price has changed by new management” when I got the check. I don’t mind paying the price but where is price transparency? Either allocating pricing on the menu and/or don’t showcase the old beer list! Disappointing . I will be going to manhattan beach instead!

A hidden gem! There’s multiple locations but this spot is my favorite. There’s plenty of parking and there’s seating both indoors and outdoors (with a fire pit). I want to give a special shoutout to David and Monica - they are so warm and friendly; they provided top-notch service and are a credit to the MidiCi team. The food was also delicious- my boyfriend and I shared the truffle prosciutto and garden pizzas. The crusts were perfectly cooked in the Neapolitan style and there was a generous amount of toppings. The Nutella calzone was a perfectly sweet way to end the night. Overall, highly recommend this spot for a reasonably priced, delicious, casual experience.

Frozen pizza. They have already premade pizza. Ridiculous I would like to know if it ok for them to sell frozen pizza. I am 100% Italian from Napoli and this pizza was disgusting. I’m sorry this is not original pizza from Napoli. They need to close down that place. Only 2 employees inside the restaurant on Friday night.

Literally go anywhere else for pizza. Pizza was cold, basic, overpriced. And the Nutella calzone bread was hard and dry. The fruit on the inside adds nothing to the dessert. Just a Burnt pizza dough ball with Nutella and soggy fruit jam. 0/10

I think we ordered too fancy for the venue. We went for the truffle and prosciutto pizza and it was almost inedible. Prosciutto was cut so thick you couldn’t chew through it and truffles were bitter. Plus patio was supper dirty.

Great option for dinner for us since we were staying at one of the attached hotels. Another guest recommended it. Service was quick and the staff was attentive to my daughter's allergies as well. I had the walnut gorgonzola salad and garlic bread. It was so good. The pizza was good too. Our daughters had the white pizza and the margarita pizza. We will definitely be going again on our next stay in Hawthorne.

The food was amazing! We were skeptical about hotel food, but this Lil restaurant was fire!!!
Prosciutto pizza amazing!!!
The meatballs are so good you can tell it's a true italian recipe with fresh herbs way better here than the olive garden I im at right now. I literally am writing a review Just because these meat balls suck and I wish this i was spending money at this spot!!

I generally don’t write reviews but had to today. Food and drink were atrocious. Pizza was barely cooked and did not have the crispy crust you would associate with wood fired pizza. Crust had the consistency of a slice of Wonder Bread. Chicken tenders were served close to frozen. The old fashioned I ordered had foamy bubbles on top?!?

The staff was apologetic and it was not their fault. The issues seem to be systemic or lack of management oversight. Horrific experience.

The establishment was very clean. The woman who took my order was very polite, professional and knowledgeable of the menu. I was very pleased with the food. I will be recommending this restaurant to my colleagues.

I ordered two pizzas, a bbq chicken and a white pizza but forgot to take my photos of them 😭

Clean restaurant. Young lady who takes orders at the front is pleasant. Food was served hot and fresh. I ordered wings, fries, salad and breadsticks. 😋

This pizza is absolutely amazing, my wife is a big fan and so am I. I recommend getting a margarita slice with some mushrooms and veggies, they really know how to make their stuff here.
