These kinds of places make me love Mom and Pop more than the bourgeois restaurants with the fancy menus you find in the hipster neighborhoods. It’s comfort food at its finest. I would recommend this place for Filipino food lovers , but also to people wanting to try an authentic Filipino place for lunch maybe their first time because this place serves a broad community, and is welcoming to everyone! So it is a great open invite to enjoy Pinoy culture! The warmth and welcoming of the family that owns the restaurant keeps me coming back, And the food is great! We eat at a lot of Filipino places and they have some of my favorite versions of the popular dishes! You can’t go wrong with anything there. My only advice is get there early, they sell out quickly, and since they only make fresh food, when they run out, that’s it. They do have a la carte menu, but you’ll have a much broader menu if you get there on the early afternoon. My wife and I go regularly, as much as our schedules will allow us.

Arrived in LA first thing to check Filipino Restaurant and decided picked this spot arrived 10 mins before it opens (limited parking) it’s regular mom and pop it’s not a high end classy restaurant it’s for average people
The Plus side the staff are very friendly and accommodating the portion is more than average and here’s the Best and the most important part it’s Delicious!!!! imagine that the ambiance doesn’t matter and the taste matter, And Pricing it’s reasonable people
If your more into looks put a blind fold and just enjoy lol

I came down from Seattle to visit my daughter in LA and hungry for pilipino food and found this place which reminded me of visiting my Mom or auntie cooking. The family that runs the restaurant was very friendly and the food was delicious especially the Kare Kare and Longanisa and Pansit and Lechon. I will return again next time I am in town thank Salamat Po, William

The food here was great! Their calamari and lumpia have a nice crunch that was flavorful. Their halo halo was also nice and didn’t leave any ingredients out. I loved the staff, we had a nice conversation and was very playful with my little brother. The restaurant also had cute and funny quotes that made the place even better. A great place I would 100% visit again.

They run out of pancit very early (not cause it is so good, it's because they cook very little amount),and the servings are very small. Food is cold, place is outdated. First and last time. Also expensive.
Such a great deal for lunch!!! $13! We were visiting from Atlanta and staying nearby the area - stopped by Pick your Plate to try out Filipino food for the first time. The people working were very kind and even offered a sample for us to help pick our proteins! Amazing locally owned spot - 10/10 would recommend!

This place is really sad. I'm scared of getting sick since they don't clean the place properly. Handle the food without washing hands after charging customers. Little variety and very expensive. Be careful they have rats and roaches. My son found a bug in his food we just threw everything away. Waste of money.

Food taste is goodVisited the place again after a month or so, craving for spaghetti. The owner asked me why I haven’t been back for so long and she was so nice & told me to try it first, see if I like it (free tasting). This time the spaghetti was good. Then after a month I was craving for CebuChon, it was perfect, delicious & crispy. I’m a big influencer of yelp & when i review restaurants/food places, I have to be honest & give constructive criticism, one daythe food I eat in the place may be very good & other days I visit, the food I eat might not be as good as the previous day. The servers are really nice & generous with food portion. I still recommend this place for Filipino foods.

I visited this place after one of my coworkers who is Filipino told me about it. We made sure to go on a Thursday so I could get Lechon!! The food was really good, fresh, and you can tell made with love, so much flavor and juicy goodness, I definitely recommend others that are looking to try Filipino food for the first time or if they’re already familiar to go here to get there fixed. The service was great and also the establishment was clean and warm, no frills. They also cater as well, and they ended up catering the Thanksgiving day meal for my job.

I was there for lunch and I love the ribs and their sinigang (tamarind soup)! I ordered meatballs and teriyaki chicken to go for my dinner. I will definitely come back!
Parking: Easy parking on the side and behind the restaurant.
