Atrocious management. There was a period of around 20-30 minutes where NO food was being served to tables due to the amount of takeout orders that flooded the kitchen. All tables were seated, yet only two tables were eating during this period. The food came out cold, and mid.
First time eating here by far best experience. Service is amazing food is tasty. Overall great experience.
So yummy!! We flew in and found this online and it was a hit! The French toast is amazing and everything we tried was delicious. The birria tacos looked really good but didn’t try those. Super yummy, a bit of a wait for a bigger group, but glad we waited! And the kids pancakes are so cute!

Stopped by for breakfast and luckily beat the Saturday crowd. Delicious food. Generous portions and friendly staff. Overall had a great experience.
Ordered French toast and black coffee. Toast was nice n fluffy with a side of fruits and whipped cream. Loved the service as they constantly checked to refill coffee, made sure if the food was nice.. unfortunately we are just passing through or I would definitely be a regular here.

Best place to have breakfast in Hawthorne!! It’s actually excellent. I went with my whole family and everything we ordered was phenomenal. Whatever you select, make sure you get some French toast for the table. Presentation was impeccable, flavor was perfection, place is clean and darling!

My daughter and I were headed back to the East Coast after spending the weekend in the area. We picked this restaurant because of the location and the reviews online. You can park on Hawthorne, but entry into the establishment is in the rear. We walked in and were immediately greeted, and seated. There was already a number of customers seated, but it was not crowded. Everyone had their own space. The menu is via QR code, and a waitress takes your order. I ordered the avocado toast + smoked salmon, a latte, and shared the pancake sampler. The avocado toast was the best I've ever had. I am not fond of tomatoes, but everything else that came on it was full of flavor. The latte was hot, bold with flavor, and had decorated foam. The pancakes were fluffy and flavorful. I didn't use any syrup, only the special butter, and toppings. The service was great, and the food came out timely. The prices didn't matter, but they are worth it. If ever in the area, I'd come back for a visit.

Tata’s is AMAZING! I’ve been here twice and the food is exceptional. You definitely have to try their homemade flavored lemonades. The food presentation was EVERYTHING! Definitely a 10/10!!! I will always come here when I’m in LA.

So, ok. If I wait for over an hour for my online order, maybe it's my fault. Maybe I should have just reversed the charges. I was staying at the hotel next door and wanted chilaquiles. Maybe its my mistake.
Either way, don't order online with these folks, and don't expect decent service. I ordered through menufy, and when I checked in, the hostess said it would be 10 minutes. OK. No problem.
Waited for 15 minutes. Asked the same hostess about my order. She said she'd check on it. Another 15 minutes. Checked in with the waitress again...and she said she guessed the order never went in.
By this point, my credit card had been charged. My kids were waiting on food, so I didn't have time to go somewhere else at this point. Finally got my food after 25 minutes.
As I was sitting, on average, the wait is 30-40 minutes here for the people i saw dining in. The place looks nice, but the service here is slow and inefficient.
The food is good here. The chilaquiles were delicious. My kids loved the French toast. But the service here is such garbage, that unless you like sitting around, go elsewhere.
Being in LA, there are so many options with food that is just as good but with waaaaay better service.

Tata's did NOT disappoint! We thoroughly enjoyed....The service we received from the host, Jesus Alberto, the owner, Luis & our waitress, Nancy was A++.Each of them were pleasant and attentive throughout our stay. We collectively enjoyed everything we ordered. The fresh lemonade was refreshing and the way lemonade should taste...the caramel latte, chicken &waffles, enfrioladas and birria were all flavorful and well-made. The portion sizes were generous and prices quite reasonable. This was our first time but definitely not our last!

Thursday, 10/02/2025 - Tried Tata's Cafe. Address is 12627 Hawthorne Blvd, Hawthorne, CA 90250. When we arrived, there is a very busy street in the front and the restaurant door is there. But there is a sign that points you that the entrance into the restaurant is in the back of the building. There is no large restaurant name in the front. For a few minutes, we couldn't find the restaurant and thought maybe they shut down. If you're not from this area, you wouldn't know. Luckily, I got out of the car and decided to walk around the building to double check. And there it was, the door that pointed us to the back of the building. They were not closed down! Phew! :D Upon arrival...
Pros
1) when we arrived, there was plenty of parking. It was easy to get parking.
2) I love all the cute decorations in the restaurant. Restaurant is like 240 square feet. Estimated.
3) you must wait to get seated. Only in door seating.
4) I saw only 2 lovely ladies working. Servers were very nice. Seating people, taking orders, bringing foods out, and cleaning up tables.
5) Foods were great. Pancake was nice and fluffy and Monte Cristo was delicious. Over medium eggs made perfect. You must ask for salt and pepper. It's not on the table.
6) no hand held menu. Must scan QR code for menu. There is a kids menu online.
7) restaurant looked clean.
8) only 1 bathroom for both men and women. 1 stall. Door locks.
Cons
1) service was slow. You need to have patience. Maybe it's because we came at lunch time.
2) water had a weird taste. The cute yellow mug I got for my water had a weird smell in it. I tried putting my tea in it to see if it'll hide the smell and the funky taste. That still did not work.
3) restaurant was hard to find.
Conclusion
We like this restaurant. Although it was hard to find (there was no visible signage to help), water tasted weird and service slow; staffs were nice, foods tasted great and restaurant decorations were so cute! We will definitely will have to come back here again and try a different dish.
