Just want to give kudos to Jade. Not only did she have great customer service, but she was a 1 woman show. Working the register and even getting on the grill (hope it wasn’t for too long). While the area isn’t the safest or cleanest, I had no problems with the food. It came out quick, was clean, and healthy.

The food is okay - however, last time I went there was a belligerent homeless man who followed me into the store to yell at me. The staff wouldn't ask him to leave, so I did. If you're looking for a peaceful place to eat, this may not be the place for you.

This is without a doubt one of the worst Waba Grill's in the area. My husband was trying to order a steak bowl and the cashier ( a Latina lady in her 40's/50's) was VERY RUDE not just to us but to other customers as well. What's worse is she was had the audacity to be rude to paying customers but had the time to kiss her boyfriend who seemed to be one of the cooks. I find that unprofessional especially when you have 4 customers waiting for their orders.
Do yourself a favor save your money folks. Go to a place where they respect you and don't keep you waiting out of pettiness.
Better restaurants to go to in the Hawthorne area include: Golden Bowl, Maui Teriyaki, Waikiki Hawaiian Grill and Huli Huli Hawaiian Grill!

I'm very upset with myself for not turning right back out and driving 3.9 miles or so to the next spot..note to self DON'T DO THAT AGAIN..the place was a mess the floor and tables needed cleaning but the two mature Spanish speaking employees didn't think it was necessary apparently because I told both that the floors needed attention but nobody did anything then in walks a customer and picked up a couple of items off the floor..ooh k then the female staff worked the register and didn't wash or place gloves on before handling food..I'm fed up with dirty eatery places for real. Also the cooking area looks as though they are cooking on make shift oversized hot plates..hmmmm please keep your lobby clean

The cashier (woman, in her 40s) sooooo rude! Ignoring customers and when it’s finally your turn to order she talks with a horrible attitude and distaste like she’s judging you. It’s horrible she didn’t even tell me when my order was done. She was also rude to another customer thru the change back at her. Insane! If I could give a zero I would. AVOID THIS PLACE

Food is very tasty & fresh. I wish they would give a larger portion of salmon and less rice. The portion size doesn't match the price of the Salmon Bowl. It's very thin & less than the size of my palm.

Visit this location often and I get a 12oz drink every time however tonight I ask for a small value drink and she says " Aw Sorry we only have large" .....why is that ok. 3 different drink size options on the menu

The plantspired steak is really good here and is the only reason I would venture out to this location. Every time I have visited, there are always pan handlers at the entrance.

Food is good 9/10 times. I usually get the steak bowl. Sometimes its not what i expected. But i can always depend on the homeless people out front to be there asking me for money! The pic is very blurry but yes, she has a chair and sits here EVERY DAY. Enjoy your visit & i hope the smell doesnt spoil your appetite!
