My family went to Cali Jay's and loved the food!! I had a chicken sandwich that was delicious and my picky daughter enjoyed her chicken nuggets and fries;) I highly recommend trying their food out!!

The absolute best. I’m actually writing this review months after visiting Cali Jays but the place was so good I feel obligated to share some love. I was in Hayfork on a fire assignment last summer and we ate at Cali Jays almost every day. Hands down, best BBQ I’ve ever had. Great flavor, tremendous portions, and the service is top tier. Even when they ran out of BBQ I got the chicken sandwich and couldn’t believe how amazing their non BBQ food was as well. This place is truly a hidden gem. I hope they stay open forever because I plan to do a road trip in the coming years and I will be going out of my way just to hit Cali Jays.

Their meats are worth breaking a bone for!! I can testify, I broke my leg while going to get a pulled pork sandwich over a year and half ago. Hella better bbq than most places I’ve been to in NC! I’ve sent folks here to get me food during recovery and now I’m able to walk, I go whenever I can!! The only negative thing is… they ain’t open 7 days a week. I’m sad, but I’m ecstatic that they’re here!
