My wife had members of her family come in from the east coast last month and they wanted to visit with us as well as taste some interesting wines in a comfortable relaxed atmosphere. I have noticed Alpha Omega's tasting room opening just off the square and decided we should duck in to see if it would meet our needs. It did and was wonderful. Service was top notch. Samantha catered to our needs and informed us of what was in our glass while leaving room for us to visit and enjoy everything. My family grows a few acres of Grenache here in Sonoma county and I was pleased to taste Alpha Omega's Grenache. I purchased a bottle and will share it at my family's next get together. A great place to make some wonderful memories.

My gf is an Alpha Omega member. So she was excited to visit the new tasting room as was I. She kindly made reservations for our party of four. A couple of us have accompanied her to the Alpha Omega winery in Napa numerous times, but none of us were familiar with their other wineries "collective" - Tolosa in San Luis Obispo and Perinet located in Spain! This is the place to taste more top notch wines in two different locations. Our party of four arrived at the time scheduled. Kiersten seated us at the open window where the fresh air was flowing, and we had a nice view of passerby's strolling around downtown Healdsburg. We all went with the Signature Flight. It delivers a balanced, exquisite variety of what AO Collective has to offer. We decided to order some charcuterie with. The board was very simple with a decent medley of cheese, salami, prosciutto, cheeses, dried fruits and castrelevano olives laid out nicely on a round slate plate. I was pleased they have my favorite type of olives and in general it was of excellent quality. The only thing missing was some sort of bread or crackers to go with and also serving as a palette cleanser for tasting the next wine. As for the wines themselves, AO is known for their exceptional wines and the "collectives" did not disappoint also! I am mainly a Pino noir, Sav blanc and rose' drinker, but I'm open to tasting reds! I loved the Perinet grenache and ended up getting a bottle. The rest of my party purchased a few bottles of the AO cab and also a Perinet grenache. Overall, it was a fun experience with excellent ambience, great service and intro to the collectives, but I wished they had more AO wines perhaps in stock if not to taste. I am familiar with the AO savignon blanc and recently tasted their rose' after visiting AO booth at the Healdsburg Food & Wine Experience this past May. I inquired with Kiersten if either was available for tasting or purchase at least. Often times, I go to Sonoma County - Healdsburg and Sebastopol areas to taste rather than Napa. The quaintness and boutique feel is favored over the mostly commericialized wine experiences Napa has to offer these days. We're looking forward to visiting AO Collective for another tasting when in town next! What another great addition to the growing excellence of the downtown Healdsburg area!
