We come in all the time food and drinks are always good. But today we went in Saturday at around 5:30 sat at the bar area where the small tables are. We walked in the bar tender, a tall guy wearing a type of Italian beret hat didn’t even acknowledge us once. The table was dirty as well. Apparently, his conversation was more important than taking care of customers . He went on talking about his daughter at Princeton and showing pictures to another couple that was sitting at the bar so my husband had to get up and ask do we order here or at the bar and he said,” you can “ honestly we were shocked that he didn’t want to walk to the table and clean it and serve us, because his conversation about his daughter’s college was more important. So my husband just got up and we left when he said that to us we We’re planning on having dinner and drinks but we didn’t feel welcomed so we went to Agave instead where we were greeted immediately. We are in the restaurant business and we understand when you're busy, but he was not busy he had one couple at the lounge already eating and one couple at the bar that he was conversing with. He never ever once said hello or welcomed us in.

I woke up today thinking about the perfectly spiced, savory Butternut Squash tacos that I ate LAST NIGHT. Everything we ate was exceptional but those stood out, as did the fluffy, delectable Basque cheesecake. We had a wonderful server that had honest recommendations and was just generally great to talk to throughout the night! We will definitely return any time we’re in town.

We went at an off-peak time for lunch. It was quiet, the decor was upscale and elegant, the service was wonderful, and the food was delicious and beautifully presented. I ordered the tostada salad (which is huge!) and it was fresh and crisp and perfectly dressed. Others at the table had the carne asada bowl and the carnitas burrito, which they enjoyed. The queso fundido is not to be missed. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a classy lunch spot.

Very pretty restaurant with a great patio. I had high expectations and wanted to like ot, but the food was just okay. Drinks and service were great! The smoky orange and rosemary garnish in the Paloma. - wow. Nice touch!
The guacamole was great! I don’t understand the tiny ramekin of salsa, but guacamole is great. Elote was tasty, it’s on the cob so not easy to share but good flavor.
The entrees were underwhelming. My husband and I both went will the two tacos. He had to steal my delicious salsa matcha because his were both dry (caritas and a carne asada I think). My curry butternut squash had some flavor but the squash was I undercooked and it could use some slaw or fresh ingredient. The quesabirria looked like it was prepared earlier and sat. The salsa macha was the highlight. And the beans were great - creamy and smoky. Maybe we caught the kitchen on an off night but I would go for drinks and apps maybe.

advertised as " upscale Mexican" only thing upscale about this place are the prices. Taqueria menu without taqueria quality, Prices are just ridiculous .
If your idea of paradise involves a perfectly chilled margarita in hand and a plate of nachos so good you’ll consider adopting them, stop what you’re doing and head straight to Arandas in downtown Healdsburg. Here’s why this place is about to become your new happy-hour obsession:
• Coconut Mango Margarita
Picture a tropical vacation in a glass: silky coconut meets tangy mango, with just enough tequila to keep things interesting but none of the “whoops, I can’t feel my face” regret. I sipped one and swear I heard steel drums playing in the background, yet I was still eloquent enough to order seconds.
• Prickly Pear Margarita
If the first margarita was a sun-soaked day at the beach, this one is the cool breeze at sunset. Not too saccharine, just that bright, fruity hit that makes you wonder why all margaritas aren’t made from cactus fruit.
• Chicken Tinga Nachos
Let’s talk nachos: when the chips are so well seasoned you want to frame them on your wall, you know you’re in the right spot. Arandas piles on a duo of nacho cheese and shredded cheese, then crowns it with tender, smoky chicken tinga that practically melts in your mouth. It’s the kind of appetizer you’ll elbow your best friend for and then graciously share, because you’re a decent human being.
• Ambiance & Location
The restaurant’s vibe is exactly what you want in downtown Healdsburg: vibrant, inviting, and lively enough that you don’t feel awkward if you break into a mariachi-inspired jig (no judgment). Bonus: happy-hour margarita prices that seem to defy the laws of economics leave you extra cash to wander the charming streets afterward.
• Verdict
Arandas isn’t just a one-and-done destination; it’s your new regular hangout. Trust me, you’ll be plotting your next visit before you even finish your first round. Perfectly nestled in downtown Healdsburg, it’s an irresistible magnet for anyone who loves killer drinks, shareable bites, and a stroll-worthy neighborhood afterward. Put it on your weekly rotation; you’ll thank me later.

I enjoyed the food, very delicious. The restaurant is wonderful, nice decor and in a wonderful location.
Went with 5 people on a Monday Cinco de Mayo. Made a reservation. We were sat promptly and then we waited. Not one person acknowledged that we were there. No one brought water or asked for a drink order. We waited 20 minutes then left.
There was plenty of waitstaff they just all looked like they were on Prozac. Moved slow didn't smile and never made eye contact. Disappointing. Really wanted Guac and chips.

What a disappointment. The prior reviews and photos do not describe our experience. We visited on on Sunday at 7 pm. There were only two people at the bar and two other tables occupied in the whole restaurant. We had to ask for chips and salsa and we were charged for them. The menu is trying to be elevated, which was reflected in the ridiculous prices. The food was not good. $30 for a taco plate and $30 for chicken enchiladas. I'm certain we would have been happier at a local taqueria.
Taco Thursday and happy hour is a great combination. Food was great (try the guacamole + mas) and the squash tacos are awesome. Oh, and the churros for dessert are finger-licking good.
It was a little concerning that the restaurant was empty. There were only two other diners the entire time we were there. The food was pretty good, but my enchilada Suizas were too salty. We felt somewhat ignored by the weight staff and especially since there were hardly any other customers.
Excellent higher end Mexican. Nice to have options for Mexican that aren't the standard. Loved the chicharones! Will def go back.
Really nice aesthetic, food was mid. We went on a night that they had a special menu. The duck on that menu was not pleasant. My friend ordered it and only took 2 bites before saying she couldn’t have it anymore. Her sister tried to eat it and the same happened. The waitress we had seemed to disappear at some point but was really nice at the end. She took the duck off the bill which was much appreciated. They also randomly had a tarot card reader but the wait was too long for us.
