Had an amazing dinner at Asahi tonight. We did the omakase menu - the fish was incredibly fresh and well-prepared. The chef was also very friendly and welcoming. We will be regular customers for sure!

Hostess was lovely, double duty as our server. Food tasted ok. Apparently they don't serve the good sushi 🍣 except Thurs-Sunday? Anyway chef behind counter was wearing gloves. No big deal right? Well said chef then went outside restaurant to meet his girlfriend and bring her into restaurant. Still wearing same gloves. Then he sent a few text messages on his phone , still wearing same gloves. Then the chef started preparing someone else's sushi order and , that's right, SAME gloves. Thoroughly grossed out. Left after only having appetizers but was no longer wanting anything prepared by those gloves. Yuk

Had a delicious meal to celebrate our anniversary - gyoza and tempura to start, and then sushi rolls for our main - with the cutest heart wasabi. The service was wonderful - we will definitely come back again!

Excellent sushi and sashimi for a really fair price. The chef flies in fresh seafood from Japan Thursday to Sunday so you get some incredible pieces of fish/seafood. Highly recommend
