We started out with an eclair that was delectable (they even have mini ones we saw in the case)! The eggs Benedict had such a rich hollandaise sauce, and the house made English muffins were light and fluffy. We also tried their croissant sandwich which was also a hit, and came with a side of fruit which was nice for balance. The service was speedy considering how busy they were, and all the staff were very friendly.

Very nice atmosphere. Great people and a great town. Very very inexperienced restaurant owner. First if you store brie with blue cheese, the mold will migrate and now your brie tastes like blue cheese. If you are going to use canned navy beans instead of black beans for your chilaquiles, you have soak it to get rid of the phytates otherwise it taste like factory. If you prep your oil with croutons or any type of carbs which is a great idea, you would need to remove all of it before it turns to fine granules of carbon. Otherwise it feels like sand between your teeth.

Great brunch spot, fantastic beverages, and food. Every time we stop by there was never a long way to get a table the eggs Benedict superb.

My wife and I have been patrons for probably more than 25 years. We love their baked goods and the restaurant is lovely to sit outside and relax.

Our lunch yesterday was unremarkable. The quality of the food has gone down. The quiche was meh, the vegetables in the quiche were cooked beyond recognition. My wife’s Niçoise Salad, too creative by half, was anything but French. It was just weird.

For an $80 lunch (w/tip) my expectations are fairly high. I’m sad that one of our stops is just not that terrific anymore.

One of the best in town.

Great cute place. It’s first come first serve and gets busy later, so go earlier. Got the French toast, chocolate croissant, scrambled eggs and bacon. All delicious. But a parenthesis for the bacon, amazing. Hot chocolate and coffee great too.

Parking: 3 hour free street parking around

Kid-friendliness: We took my 1yo great niece. It was totally fine.

Everything is good here. The short rib hash is a stand out, but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

I had 2 bear claws and 3 raisin cinnamon wheels from here and they were amazing! I initially got only 1 pastry but had to go back and get more just because they tasted so good. The place was busy but they had plenty of seating and the vibe is very friendly.

Good atmosphere as the restaurant was not busy and the food was great. Only downside was the customer service from most of the staff. Although they were efficient and timely, they lacked courtesy and friendliness. No 'how are you, no smiles no can I get you anything else?' The only employee who was the well rounded was the person at the pastry counter. Excellent customer service with a smile and enthusiasm.

I recently visited the Costeaux Bakery and found it to be a delightful place until I placed my order at the counter. I watched as Edgar F. picked up my chosen pastries with his bare hands and placed them in the box. I questioned him on this & he told me he had washed his hands. Not good enough, he should have used a utensil, or worn gloves; anything but his bare hands! Makes me wonder how the food is handled in the kitchen. I won’t recommend or be frequenting this restaurant in the future. Maybe a call to the Health Dept. is in order.

Indiana Hoosier here, we ordered Hero Bread Keto croissants that are made by this bakery in the Bay Area and we couldn’t be more pleased! We hope to one day be able to step into your establishment and feel the history! Thanks for taking great care to be mindful of our health.
