As a Sonoma County local, Davero is one of my favorite spots to bring friends. The setting is beautiful and welcoming... and the gardens, little cottage, outdoor willow room, and pigs are truly memorable. The staff are friendly and casual, yet seriously knowledgeable. I love that they offer well-known Italian varietals like Sangiovese and Barbera, but you get to explore little-known varietals as well (and don't miss their OLIVE OIL!) It’s just minutes from downtown...
Our family had such a great time here! Kat and Michael teach you so much, it feels like wine school with food! The winery accommodated us very well, as we walked in without a reservation. Side note: popcorn and lemon olive oil are to die for!
Visited DaVero Farm and Vineyard on the recommendation of a knowledgeable friend. Spent time there with Derek and Shannon who not only shared a wonderful flight of Italian varietals with us but also explained the concept of regenerative biodynamic farming and how it's implemented at DaVero creating not just a vineyard but a true living farm.
