Classic local and tourist spot. I've been going to el som for years and years. Owned by a good family and absolutely amazing food.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Authentic Mexican Flavor at a Great Price!
Just steps from the town square, Taqueria El Sombrero delivers a true taste of Mexico with every bite. The atmosphere feels warm and authentic, the servers are wonderfully friendly, and the prices are refreshingly reasonable. Whether you’re in the mood for a quick, flavorful lunch or something heartier without the inflated cost and hoopla of other spots, this is the place to go. A hidden gem worth every visit! 🌮🇲🇽

There were rocks in my food!!! I was just trying to enjoy my chile relleno when I felt jagged objects hurting my teeth, which I found out to be two small pointy rocks in my food…When we told the cashier, they did not seem surprised or concerned that this happened which was surprising. I told her she might want to notify the cooks but she didn’t seem to care. We did get compensated but the matter was not handled well and without much concern to us or in make sure it doesn’t happen again sadly.

I ordered a green chili enchilada and extra cheese on the beans to go. And a burrito. I received a red sauce no extra cheese. Would not take it off my bill. No manager, no owner no accountability

I was disappointed. Maybe they had a bad night. The tamale was so dry, it qualifies for the worst tamale I've had. The al pastor was also dry and lacked the normal flavor profile. Less concerning: the avocado had many brown parts and we had to wait quite a while for the order to be ready. Other parts of the meal were okay.

A small taqueria near downtown Healdsburg and the town square. Homey not pretentious. Good food it's a bit pricey, but it's the area, and priced accordingly.
Authentic home style Mexican cooking. I had the shrimp diablo. Very spicy 🔥. Beans were authentic, creamy made with manteca. The rice was nice and fluffy and not dry. Served with flour tortillas.
A good change of food pace compared to the matheson 101 and other restaurants near the town square.

Parking: Town square has very limited parking. You may need to park a good walking distance from the shops and restaurants located in the Towne square.

Delicious and authentic Mexican food right near the main square in Healdsburg. You know it's good when the place is filled with locals at lunch. Large portions all made to order. Normal atmosphere - diner style with lots of tables.
