What a unique and fun experience we had at Hafner Vineyards. While any trip to the Healdsburg area is a treat, our visit to Hafner made a fun trip all the more memorable. It isn't often that one finds a family business so committed to producing an exceptional product while also ensuring conservation of their land and the well being of their employees. Family owned and operated, Hafner Vineyard was an amazing experience. Beginning with a delightful glass of their Rose, then a first hand educational tour with the owner in the barrel cave and lastly tasting delicious wine from one of the barrels, we couldn't have had a more lovely overall experience. Hafner is indeed a wonderful tasting experience in the Alexander Valley. As a visitor, you are treated to detailed descriptions of their winemaking process, a loving marriage of French and American methods. Hafner is family owned and operated. Their hard work, pride and love for what they do is hugely apparent as you gaze out on the gorgeous 100 acre vineyard and taste their exceptional Chardonnay and Cabernet Savingnon in the very beautiful cave.

But Sarah and Kate are so engaging and friendly, and the experience enriching, I can’t be selfish. Sarah’s sharing the history of the family, the winery, and the region in general was interesting and the wine tasting was educational. I learned a few new things. And the wines are fantastic.
