We had a wonderful experience on Superbowl Sunday. We stopped in on a whim.....Jackie was fabulous! She was knowledgeable and perfectly attentive. We reaffirmed our love of these wines.

The grounds are remarkably breathtaking. Absolutely love the water fountain out the front, minus the loud generator to the side. The service wasn't bad considering I didn't realize last call for tastings is at 4 (even though it says open 1-5). The server was knowledgeable about the varietals in the wine however couldn't explain to me his own thoughts about it. When I left saying I was thinking about wine club he pretty much forced me to write his name down in order to "get credit" for the sale. Granted I am young and new to the wine scene, but it just felt lacking.

The estate and seating area are lovely. Some cyclists stopped by on their route and end just like us enjoyed our own picnic snacks with the wine. Service was friendly yet not as informative as our previous wine stop. Just poured us the wines with minimal background. Which is fine and one way to do things. The view of the lake and vineyard was nice.

Good wine and a good location. Lovely view of the winery hills and a small lake. The wine itself is nice. Nothing standing out but nothing wrong with any of it. Really lovely. The staff were attentive. Love that it's dog friendly.

Updating my review because Matrix continues to be a standout addition to the Wilson family of wineries. I am a member at another Wilson winery, but always find myself here more than the winery I'm actually a member at! The views are impeccable and this is often the place I bring out-of-towners to show them you don't have to go to Napa for a great experience. Everyone who works here is so nice and knowledgeable, and they'll help you curate the perfect experience if you have just 45 minutes or can take a leisurely stroll through their offerings. The wines are great here and no matter who joins me, they always find a perfect bottle to take home.

We went here for this first time and had a wonderful experience! The view is incredible, we had a seat outside looking at the river. Our server was so nice and accommodating! We told her that we love Pinots and she even gave us some extra pours. All of their wines were delicious but our favorites were all of the Pinots and the Zin. We will definitely be back!

This is purely a wine tasting review. We are members of this winery, recently have joined. We loved the location, very. Ambient with nice views of the lake. We had superb service. We chose Matrix for their Pinots. Matrix is part of the Wilson artisan wines with a great list of other wineries. This was our first pickup. One thing we do wish though is being able to substitute wines in our pickup.

Cut to the chase - we joined the wine club!Arrived without reservations on a late Saturday afternoon as it was a last-minute decision to visit. We just got lucky. Staff was accommodating and sat us pretty quickly at an outdoor table overlooking the pond, vineyards, everything. Our easygoing and professional host guided us through the tasting flight and even added in a few extra suggestions. She was friendly, knowledgeable and paced us perfectly. Matrix produces some great wines but it's all about the Pinots for me! Honestly, I enjoyed wine after wine so it was hard to pick out a favorite! We brought a couple bottles but they're long gone. Price point is around $45-60.Club membership opens up tastings at all the wineries in the Wilson family so that's an easy plus!

I'm a huge pinot fan and am making it my mission to explore "everything pinot" in Sonoma county. And since Matrix is noted as a leader in pinot wines, we stopped by to check it out. The scenery by the lake on the patio was beautiful, and the wine was delicious. Two months later, after being underwhelmed by another notable pinto winery, I stopped by with a friend to pick up a couple bottles for dinner. Even though we didn't have a reservation, Sawyer, the manager, treated us to a mini tasting. I loved it so much I joined the club. These will be some of my favorite go-tos from here on out.
