Alec was our host, we arrived an hour early and was quickly accommodated. The tour was short but it was nice to hear the background family story and see the wine making process. He poured us a delicious zinfandel, merlot and Cab. Coming from Lodi these zins were exceptional with a color of violet and smooth complexity.

This place is awesome, if you can get an appointment do it! One of the few wineries still doing it old school italian. Lots of history and you can feel it. Feels more like a wine tour in italy than Sonoma. Limited production sold almost exclusively direct to consumer. Alex was a great host, such a beautiful property.

Tasting room staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They even offered to give us a tour of the wine cave.
We came on a chilly and cloudy day so we were unable to enjoy the scenic and charming outdoor tasting area. Hoping next time the sun will be shining on us!

Just had a 1999 Rafanelli regular cab and was still fresh and great tasting. All of their wines age very well.
