Impressive venue, spectacular location. Just a few minutes from a beautifully designed Healdsburgh square. The restaurant is located in a historic mansion, warm and inviting upon entry. The staff is well trained, engaging but not over the top. Great selection of wines, I would like to see more of mid priced choices. All the dishes were well presented and proportioned. I was impressed how the chef made all the ingredients work in harmony. My appetizer and main dish were salty, next time I will ask for no added salt. The carrot cake for dessert was just plain. The added raisins did not elevate it, not comparable to my other dishes. A banal way to finish an otherwise fabulous meal. I will go back and I recommend it highly.

Overall lovely experience. Although the service was slightly slower , the server was busy and super kind and knowledgeable which made up for it. The only thing I would say, is the lighting in the inner dining room should be dimmed during dinner service to create a bit more warmth and ambiance.

Beautiful restaurant with great service. We went for brunch, the food was a bit salty and the crust on the fried chicken quickly went from crisp to hard as it cooled. There was really just too much of it. Our servers, Shannon and Sebastian were outstanding and attentive. I would also add that the signage at the entrance is poor.

We had afternoon tea. The outdoor patio was beautiful. Sadly the value for what we received was poor. There was an odd number of items which was weird considering there were three of us who paid and should have all had an equal portion. $50 a person and The waitress offered us a butter knife so that we could cut our 2 inch scone in thirds. No accommodations for food allergies. We were offered to pay the $50 tea price, to enjoy some tea and their lunch menu that had a small salad or French fries for allergy free option. This place is know for its beautiful outdoor views, gorgeous interior and wonderful food. We left feeling disappointed, hungry and wishing we never spent our money. Lesson learned.

Lovely surroundings admired by two visitors we brought for lunch. Delightfully met by hostess and then seated. Waiter/tress was very average and not impressive. Food was good to excellent, mostly very good indeed. Unusual luncheon menu, not to look forward to...Steak so so, even tough. Table was bare except for napkin and utensils within. Cheap for a very nice place. White table cloths with even a glass cover would improve the room and total experience. Hard surface lends to hard feeling during eating. Not even a flower on the table. It looked as if the table just arrived and no one was prepared. Another table was very noisy for two of us with hearing aids. Caused us distress at times. I was told my gift certificate was no long valid because of date of expiration. Caused embarrassment as waitress announced it to entire table of four. Very silly to say the least. I was angry. Hostess was charming and wonderful and solved the problem which should not have been mine... I know now I prefer outside during the summer or dinner with lots of folks and people. Warmth of surroundings. Maybe even without a table cloth. Hmm... Warmth is the word I want. Inner dining room lacked warmth and personal touch. More a museum feel. I felt like moving on to the dining area. Thanks for asking. Hope it helps for a wonderful place.

Everything was delicious. We were so excited for this brunch menu. We were disappointed they didn't have the chicken and waffle but had plenty of other options. We will be back! Cocktails were great and definitely get the waffle for the table

The High Tea was outstanding! Every part of it was spot on! I cannot wait to go back. Rachel D. is a gem! So appreciate her kindness and she goes above and beyond to make our visits perfect!

I absolutely loooove the Madrona. We've stayed a night above the restaurant and it was an amazing experience. Every time I come, I am thrilled and excited to be there. We've done the movie night during summer and that was super fun! I highly recommend it. Out on the lawn after a lovely three-course dinner with complimentary popcorn, candy, and wine. My girlfriends and I also have enjoyed our time here. Everything they serve though is delicious! The dish that called to me as it reminded me of my childhood was this incredible rice porridge with ginger. Did you know you can walk around and check out their garden? Also, the bar is beautiful and you get a wonderful view from any spot in the restaurant. This is one of the most unique experiences, eating the most delectable meal in a historic home atop a green hill. Plus the restaurant is an art gallery. Lots of those pieces are for sale. Easily one of my top 3 in West County.

Early side (1045) brunch moved to outside due to lovely weather. Great seating, really nice surroundings. Can tell it was a fast refresh (I'm a finish and details nut)- but doesn't change the fact that the surroundings and architecture are lovely. We were not rushed, the food was great, reasonably priced and creative verging on unexpected. Servers were attentive and on point. Two minor nits 1) drink service to the patio was a bit slow - we had water service so not parched, but I expect things were a bit jammed at the bar. 2) wayfinding - aka knowing where to go parking wise, and then once parked find your way.

The food here was really good! We particularly enjoyed the chips and dip. The ambiance was great, very lively and intimate. However, the service was just ok, it was difficult to flag servers down.

The Madrona is always an amazing experience! Truly a sensory delight. It just has a cool California vibe with amazing cocktails, food and service. Who could ask for anything more???

Great place but so expensive, wish it was more affordable to be able to go more often. It's crazy to me that non-alcoholic drinks are the same price as alcoholic drinks. You should not charge $18 for a non-alcoholic drink. More like $15 instead of price gouging people, it's just wrong and didn't sit with me well & it shouldn't for you guys either. That's just not fair at all.

Menu to limited, I eat very little meat, they have no seafood nor good pasta. Just love the mansion!!! Richie Barron/“Dr Tequila”
