Service was friendly, and attentive, unfortunately the food was not good. It wasn't inedible, but $42 for a pork chop with zero seasoning wasn't worth it. The tables don't even have salt/pepper shakers which isn't uncommon at higher end restaurants, but if you're going to do that, the chef really needs to season the dish before serving. A cherry balsamic reduction (or just about anything for that matter) would have vastly improved the meal. If I had to say something positive about the dish, the pork chop was a nice thick cut (about 1" thick).

Spoonbar serves well-balanced dishes with an emphasis on quality and taste. The branzino was really good and the Brussels were excellent. Lamb meatballs with harissa sauce and feta were on point. Great wine list, too. In your staying anywhere in the Sonoma valley area, it's well worth the tripDietary restrictions: The menu is well marked with gluten free and vegan options.

We were fortunate to have Buck the new bartender serve us on Super Bowl Sunday. He made creative too tempting cocktails. He was friendly and engaging.

It's a nice ambiance, with good service. The food sounds and looks amazing, but frustratingly doesn't taste that good. This was our first time trying this spot and we were disappointed in the food. 3 out of the 4 dishes we ordered were under-seasoned or strangely seasoned. Hopefully this will be remedied or maybe they were having an off night.

One of the best restaurant experiences we've had in a very long time. Ben the Manager was nothing short of amazing and went above and beyond to turn our dinner into a very special one. The Branzino was to die for, the crab appetizer mouth watering, and the oysters, both baked and raw, so succulent and extremely fresh. We should have split the Branzino so we had space for dessert. There will definitely be a next time so looking forward to trying dessert. Thank you so much!

This was meant to be a Valentine's Day dinner. Email they sent annouced special menu and good from 2/14-2/17 so I booked the 17th since we all work weekdays. I didn't inqure what was special but expected more like they've done in the past for Mother's Day, etc. We arrived and none of the decor would tell you it was a day different from the norm. Nothing on the menu was different to my eye. When I inquired what the special was I thought it would be a fixed menu but instead it was two dishes shared for 2. No flowers on the table, no Valentine's Day desert...Nada, nil, and the wait staff just thought I was crazy to have expected something more. Food was as usual very good and good proportions.

Arrived at 6:30, per reservation. Main course came at 8:30. Vegetarian options limited; mine was mediocre at best. Fried chicken special, every Wednesday, was unavailable. Also, the meal was expensive. Staff tried but were not well-trained. There was no explanation for the food being so late. Should have spent Valentine's Day dinner at home- would have been better.

The food was amazing, the service left more to be desired. The restaurant was busy as it should be on a Valentines Day evening. The staff seemed distant, confused, untrained and slow to react. Took 20 minutes to get water. Once we got the water, we were asked to put in our entire order for the evening as the server said they were extremely busy and backed up. We ordered everything at that time, including our drinks. The drinks took another 30 minutes to get. We got so hungry waiting for the food we ordered that we had to flag down another tables waitress for some bread to tie us over. Once we got our appetizers, it took nearly 45 minutes to get our main course. We sat with empty drinks for 20 minutes and it took another 20 minutes to get a second round of drinks. The table next to us complained about the wait and got their entire meal comped on the house, I feel as though we should have too but I didn't want to cause a scene so I paid the $200 bill and cut my losses. Some extra staff training and some extra preparation by the management team would have helped avoid this type of scenario. Could have been better, could have been worse.

The food was delicious - we had the crab salad, a vegetarian squash dish, a flat iron steak, branzino and lamb. All of our meals were really good. The side of Brussels was very tasty as well as the pot de crème. Walked out of there feeling very satisfied that we had eaten well and that the food and service were well worth the money.

My husband and I were sadly VERY disappointed after our New Year's Eve experience. Upon seating I had to request a candle as our spot in the rear (poolside) was dark and not at all festive as the New Year's invite offered. Our 1st course arrived just a moment after our drinks did and then the main course arrived moments after we finished those leaving us feeling quite rushed and imagining the assembly line in the kitchen. The lobster bisque was very sparse and flavorless without lobster flavor. The scallops were good which helped, but the bisque was a tease. The chickory salad was uninspired with large pieces of chickory and just a few 1/2 slices of persimmon and nothing more. The dressing was ok but seemed like a cheap oil (canola?) was used, was sparse, and very salty. I like salt, but it was borderline too much. The beef tenderloin was overcooked (medium and not med-rare as requested), quite tough and dry. The potato pave as the side was skimpy and had little flavor. The very thick piece of swordfish was overcooked just enough that it was dry and tough. The reduction sauce was minimal. The baby root vegetables seemed unseasoned and skimpy too. Our server checked in after quite awhile by saying "are you enjoying?" as she walked by. We stopped her to share that our two entrees were both overcooked. Her response was that she would "have to keep an eye on these entrees coming out of the kitchen".Lastly, the apple tartine was bad w/a very hard pastry bottom which was difficult to cut even with a knife, along with mushy apple, loose creme fraiche, and sickeningly sweet. And we were never offered coffee or tea.The $355 bill (including tip and 3 drinks) was outrageous for what we experienced. Our plates looked nothing like any of the beautiful photos on your website. It was our first Spoonbar experience and we had anticipated so much more.I wonder if anyone in management even cares about our poor experience as there has been no response after over 2 weeks? This makes the experience even sadder and more disappointing.I would have written directly to a manager or owner directly rather than posting publicly, but I did not see a way to do that.

Came to Spoonbar on a Sunday evening without reservations. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary a day early and decided to have dinner at the last minute. We were seated quickly and our server timely. Atmosphere and lighting set the tone. Wine selection was decent, but missing local options. My husband got the Sunday seafood special and it was delicious. Our server didn't ever introduce himself and didn't seem very interested in us at all, which was disappointing. We have enjoyed many restaurants in town, so the hospitality bar is high. Overall this was a good experience, and would have been great with a few tiny tweaks.

Outstanding experience. The food was delicious. We had the cheese puffs, the butternut squash soup, the whipped potatoes, the roasted half chicken, and the beef tenderloin. It was all amazing. The service was super friendly and everything was served in a timely fashion. Loved the decor and ambiance. Great place to go for my birthday and our wedding anniversary.Parking: This is the restaurant for the H2 hotel. There is a parking garage but I don't know if you can park in it just to eat at the restaurant. There is a small city parking lot right across the street and street parking.

We had been here a few months prior and had a wonderful dinner. So when we had another special occasion we dinned here again. Our group of 6 were sat in the back where it was quiet which was nice. Our waiter was great throughout however the busser must have had a bad night… she would bump an end chair every time she would walk past (and not apologize nor stop doing it) she collected empty dishes very clunky-like and loud… she dropped a piece of lettuce into a cocktail (which was not even half drunk)… she made the evening not as enjoyable as we had hoped for. She needs much more training. Onto a food item - three of us all got the hanger steak - mine was extremely tiny compared to the other two plates and it was just bland tasting - it was a very odd entree and not worth the price. Everything else was good and of course since we are local we will give it another try and hope for a better experience.

Mega stars for character, personable staff, and rhythmic ambiance. Who doesn't love a classy, retro, and fun bar lounge? Considering it was New Year's Eve, Spoonbar was open and a beautiful spot to go out with friends before the ball dropped. They have cocktails and mocktails for us NA drinkers. The presentation was tops and the friendly staff was even better -- the bartender even took our group photo. I will be back again to explore the plethora of items on their menu. What's not to love!

For the price of the New Year's Eve menu food was average at best. Waiter was attentive, other wait staff hovered around table waiting for you to finish your plate and get you out the door. Will not be going back, even for the regular menu.
