You would never know by the outside that this was a Cajun restaurant. But that's part of the overall Cool vibe. They have indoor and outdoor seating, and what looks like to be a very old house. Everything was cleaned, the food was outstanding and I would go back in a heartbeat
I have been about 5 times to NOLA & Louisiana and this place is 99% of what I got at the best places in NOLA. Much better than Angeline in Berkeley or other East Bay options. We had the Gumbo (delicious), the Beignets 👏 (amazing), the Shrimps 🍤 & Grits as well as the Hush Puppies. Only this last item was good but not great. Go for it! Also reserve a table if you go on a weekend as the place is quite popular.
Great experience. Surprise, the beignets are as good as I’ve had - light, airy pillows of fried dough - and those who fondly remember Cafe Fannie ranked them as good as or maybe even better. Staff was very friendly and indulged my father’s many queries about food and travel…

Strongly endorse the crawfish Benedict.

No hard alcohol but the soju Bloody Mary sufficed.
