We came to Red Hen Cafe as a party of 3 adults on Sunday, February 1 at 10:10 AM. When we walked in, the restaurant was mostly full and there was one available table—a round table that could seat 5–6 people.
The hostess told us we could not be seated because they “needed to leave that table open for a bigger party.” A bigger party that was not there and might not even show up that day. So instead, they turned away three paying adults for a hypothetical group.

This cafè was THE BEST stop off we did in the US we did the whole coast of California and i will most definatley go back, the food was tip top to perfection and the service extrordinary. It also had that real feel of the wild west and we certainly found the American dream there. Hope to be back soon.x
The Red Hen is so cute and the food was FABULOUS! This place will be added to the “must eat when in Barstow” list!
