I was extremely hungry upon my arrival I ordered the garden omelette it was more plentiful that I expected just the amount of vegetables that I expected and more when I asked for items that were not at the calendar Victoria my waitress what stop what she was doing and being very helpful to fill my needs.
Across the highway you can see the railroad tracks which I love to watch freight trains pass by enjoying my breakfast being waited on from Victoria and the atmosphere of being in a country kitchen coffee shop and seeing a few freight trains pass by made my entire trip to the Red hen Cafe was a wonderful experience.
I promised Victoria I would return back again very soon reason why is the food is wonderful the guest of the restaurant seem to know one another being Small Town place to come enjoy the food and say hello to fellow neighbors I am looking forward to turning back once again and enjoy what I experienced I highly recommend spending great quality time and enjoy what I experienced thank you Victoria for being a wonderful waitress and fulfilling my needs.
One thing more before I close the dishwasher I did not get her name I said good morning she looked at me with a smile as if I was the only one at the restaurant a very pleasant including the other waitress forecast me I don't remember her name she too was very pleasant thank you Red hen Cafe personnel employees for making my stay and visit worth coming back again soon 🔜

Love love love this place! Staff is amazing. Food is delicious. We’ve been eating here since the original restaurant. The name changed but it just got even better. If you’re thinking about a place to eat come here you won’t leave disappointed.

Breakfast and lunch fan favorite 😍 all of their menu items are a burst of home cooked favorites. All delicious. Must try their monte cristo sandwich, country fried chicken skillet, meatloaf, the pumkin and banana bread. The staff are very sweet and attentive. This place is always full but never a long wait for a table. The establishment is clean and the cutest vintage farm decor theme.

Arrived back in town on 8/13 and have been here for breakfast 3-4 times.
The food and service is excellent.
The owner, Bree has done a great job in not only maintaining the quality and variety of the food but has managed to put her personality stamp on this cafe. From the exterior paint to the interior decor. A nice reflection of her and the well established team she has here.
We haven't been able to see Teresa since she's out on maternity leave but we have been thoroughly taken care of on each and every visit.

Homemade Comfort and Hospitality on Route 66

The Red Hen in Helendale is a five-star experience through and through. I had scrambled eggs with hashbrowns and a side of biscuit and gravy—and every bite tasted homemade. The eggs were fluffy, the hashbrowns crispy, and the biscuit and gravy? Next level.

Unlike other places that hide a dry, stale biscuit under heavy gravy, The Red Hen serves moist, perfectly layered biscuits that stand on their own. The gravy complements rather than covers—it’s comfort food done right.

Service was just as impressive: coffee came out before the meal, and they brought a warmer as my food arrived. Thoughtful touches, great food, and a cozy atmosphere make this place a must-stop.
