What a cute place! I really loved the strawberry cupcake and the Biscoff cupcake. Not overly sweet, the whipped cream is buttery. Just so yummy. Also, a very clean and welcoming place with the decor and board games available. Happy that a place like this is in Hercules.

Recently came back shortly after opening. Service was meh and I was watching them be not so helpful to a door dasher because of a language barrier. That just got kind of put me off.

I got some empanadas and cupcakes again this time.

I tried the longsilog and I was low key disappointed. The food did not taste fresh, rice was hard like day old, longanisa was decent. For the price and portion you are better off making it at home or buying elsewhere. It was $16 and an abomination. It was trying to be all fancy and dressed up but fell flat.

I've had this on my list to go to since it first opened. When you walk inside it's actually bigger than you think on the outside. They have plenty of seating. I was overwhelmed with all the items on the display case.

Strawberry danish: Looks scary but is delicious. Soft, tart pastry. It kind of falls apart, dough soggy in the middle. I warmed it up in the toaster oven a little and it gave it nice crunchy edges

Coconut tart: Loved the nice thick crust like a pie crust. The coconut on top was perfect. Honestly, I couldn't stop eating it

Caramel cupcake: Delicious it reminded me of a cake that we used to get for my grandma on birthdays..

Bae's coff: Chocolate cupcake dry, buttercream good but hard

Ube oreo cream cheese: Soft and delicious. Easily 2 bite cupcake.

Mango caramel cupcake: Mango is typically my go to and the lady who was helping me said it was her favorite. Sadly this was a let down the cupcake was soft but I didn't really taste the mango.

Dubai chocolate cupcake: I enjoyed the filling throughout the cupcake. It made the chocolate cupcake less dry. Buttercream a little hard.

Ube caramel cupcake: Deliciously soft and flavorful. Cream on top was soft with the sweet caramel.

Beef empanada: Meaty and flaky pastry. One of the first empanadas in a long time that wasn't mostly potatoes, peas, carrots, and raisins. It was nothing but beef.

Chicken empanada: Meaty and flaky pastry.

Ube tiramisu latte: This was more coffee than ube. Even after stirring I mostly tasted coffee with a hint of coconut. I'm not sure where the tiramisu flavor is. The picture made it look cool but what I got didn't look like the picture.

This place is a hidden gem. I came here on a Sunday right before closing. The ladies were nice that helped me. Everything was so good I can't wait to come back. Upon looking at the website more after visiting, I believe they either worked or owned Sunflower Bakery. That's why the caramel cupcakes were so amazing. It's the one I used to go with my grandma. I highly recommend this place and can't wait to come back soon.

Best bola bola siopao in the area. It's difficult to get good siopao in the east bay. Most are all dough and very little filling inside. Sugar Toof siopao is packed with filling. The best.

It has a really nice vibe and a beautiful ambiance & stunning interior décor. The atmosphere is charming The food is fresh and delicious, I had a Halo Halo and a vegetarian sandwich both excellent. The bakery and pastry section always draws long lines, and for good reason — everything looks absolutely amazing! Owner super friendly.

Walking into Sugar Toof for the first time feels like stepping into a well-kept secret—a pristine little bakery-café where the air itself seems dusted with powdered sugar and warm memories. The lady who assisted me was the very picture of patience and warmth, guiding me through a dazzling display of treats with the grace of someone who truly loves what she serves.

This visit was not about moderation—it was about discovery. I assembled an ambitious tasting lineup for my family: Dirty Noodz, silvanas in cashew and pistachio, a rainbow of cupcakes (ube tres leches, mango crumble, strawberry cream cheese, caramel), ube cannoli, pistachio cannoli, ube ensaymada, and an ube tiramisu latte. It was less a purchase and more a treasure hunt, each item a jewel in its own right.

The flavors? A masterclass in balance and nostalgia. The strawberry cream cheese cupcake was a time machine, delivering me straight back to my childhood with one bite—creamy, fruity, and tender in a way that tugged at the heart. The ube creations were lush and velvety, proving that Sugar Toof treats this vibrant purple ingredient as both muse and canvas. Even the bold Dirty Noodz, savory yet comfortingly familiar, stood proudly among the sweets.

The price point felt surprisingly fair given the craftsmanship, the portion sizes, and the sheer joy delivered with each bite. Add to that the spotless interior and warm service, and you have a bakery that knows exactly what it’s doing.

Sugar Toof is not just a place to satisfy a sweet craving—it’s a place to make memories. I came as a curious first-timer; I will return as a devoted regular.

Rating: ★★★★★ – Worth every mile, every minute, and every crumb.

The bakery is fresh and clean, the staff were lovely. Everything was good, but I think I just wasn’t quite sure what to expect. I miss the goldilocks bakery chocolate mousse cake. The first mango crumble cupcake I had, the cake itself was so light and airy it almost couldn’t stand up to the frosting and filling, but it was yummy. Some had buttercream frostings, others had more of a whipped cream frosting. The ube tres leches was yummy. It was easy to pop-in and pick-up a dozen or so cup-cakes. I would, however advise that if you want to order a cake for an event, you do so at least 3 months out. When I stopped in, they were already booked 2 months out for custom orders.

All staffs are friendly and accommodating, i went on a Saturday at 5:05 pm ( Father’s Day weekend) not knowing that they close early on weekends. The pretty cashier lady ( i think her name is Penny) when I sort of peeked through their close door she opened and we are close and I pleaded because it’s for Father’s Day, she opened the doors for me and helped me. Joe and Kay are also very nice and friendly
Thank you.

Stopped by to pick up a ready made cake for Father's day. They had the caramel cake available, which was so nice and moist, not too sweet and a great hit with the family. I will definitely be ordering from here in the future
