I stopped in after seeing a sign outside advertising a $12 special. When I asked about it, the staff claimed there were no specials, but after I pointed out the sign, they contacted someone (likely the manager or owner) who said the sign shouldn’t have been out.
had been planning to try this place for a while. On my way to Trader Joe’s, I noticed a sign advertising a $12 special. When I asked about it, they said there were no specials, but after I pointed out the sign, they agreed to honor it—then charged me $17. The staff called someone, possibly the owner or manager, and said the sign shouldn’t have been out. Overall, it was a confusing and disappointing experience.

El Pollo Inka in Hermosa Beach is an easy go-to spot for good, solid Peruvian food. It’s been around for a while and keeps things consistent — nothing fancy, just good flavors and a chill setup. The rotisserie chicken is what they’re known for, and it definitely lives up to it — tender, well-seasoned, and pairs perfectly with their green sauce if you can handle some spice. I also tried the ceviche mixto and arroz con mariscos — both were fresh and full of flavor without being too heavy. The place itself is clean and comfortable, and the service is friendly but not overbearing. Prices are fair, and portions are solid, so you’ll probably leave with leftovers. Overall, it’s a dependable spot if you’re craving Peruvian food in the South Bay — relaxed vibe, good flavors, and you know what you’re getting each time.

I have been coming to this pollo inka since I was about 5 years old ! Everyone that works there feels like family ! The food is the best quality and large portions! It’s always a tough choice what to pick because everything is so great and fresh! I moved to Arizona now but every time I come to town it’s my first and last stop ! I can never get enough !

Unfortunately, this was our last visit to El Pollo Inka. My husband was eating the chicken fingers meant for my son and it was completely raw in the middle. We told the server and he asked for the piece my husband bit into to show the cook. This is very dangerous and high risk to be serving undercooked chicken. We are waiting to see if my husband gets sick from it or not.

Fantastic food
Seems a bit nickle & dimy to charge me 4% to pay with a card at a restaurant charging $100 + for 3 people to eat. Especially in a strip mall.

Arguably the best Peruvian food in L.A.

The Baseline: For a Peruvian restaurant, the four traditional staples (corn, potatoes, beans, grains/rice) must be represented along with the three traditional meats (chicken, beef, pork), the preparation must accentuate the flavors, and must represent the Peruvian cuisine.
Food: I come here for loom Saltado and that is usually the only thing I want. It is a very good at El Polo Inca (I am not coming here for the chicken which is also good). The plantains are always an awesome. We also had the Chaufa de Pollo was the tasty chicken application.
Service: Had a great waitress and service the night we came in. Water glass was filled up.
Atmosphere: It is a nice franchise in a nice area but it is small compared to the main Torrance location. There are some wall scuffs around the booth.

Kassandra was the best server and gave us a coupon for next time since it was our first visit. Closest thing to Miami food I’ve had in LA.

The Service was Lagging Oír Needs.
Food was ok. Needs More Ingredients,More Chicken and Flavor.
The food was excellent. I've eaten a lot of Peruvian food in the style of this restaurant, in New York and LA, and this place is right up there with the best.
The Pollo a la Brasa was just right. Juicy tender chicken, flavored really well, skin that doesn't just fall off too easily and of course is well flavored. The garlic rice was nice, and the beans tasted homemade (not canned).
The meal came with a chicken and rice soup. The soup was pretty good--nothing amazing--but for being included I wasn't upset about it.
The bread rolls were soft and yummy. Extra good with the green salsa they bring in a squirt bottle (which I put on everything else too).
The value was great.
My server was very friendly, attentive, and helpful.
They had good music playing. I don't know the exact style but something South/Central American upbeat folky.
Will definitely eat here again.
