I was in California for the week and my mom and I stumbled upon this gem. The food is fresh and delicious! It’s the perfect spot to stop to grab a quick bite to eat for breakfast. The pricing is very affordable and the staff is extremely nice. It was so good that we had to make another stop here before we went to the airport.

A Hermosa Beach institution! Great neighborhood coffee shop. They pull consistently really good espresso drinks and are always friendly. Also real cozy place to sit with a book.

The turkey sandwich is very fresh and delicious. Coffee is also delicious. Milk is provided on a self-service basis, so if you get tired of coffee, you can switch to a cafe latte.

Really wanted to like Java Man, but it fell short. Ordered a bacon breakfast burrito and it was not good. I would not get again :( I also got a honey lavender latte which was good! I would get this again. The place has ample seating inside and outside, and the workers are very kind. Parking was easy to find on this Saturday morning. Willing to come back, but probably still to the pastries and not the burritos.

Love it here! This is our regular weekend coffee place. We love the team here! They know your orders if you are a regular, and are super friendly. There is usually a long line, but it's not because the service is slow, all the locals just love coming here. They are quick and efficient and if it's not too busy you might get lucky enough to share some laughs with them. We love it here, it's the best way to start our day and our morning walks on the beach. Chuy, Daniel and the rest of the Javaman crew are the BEST! We love you

Java Man played a large factor in my decision to come back to Hermosa Beach on vacation. Something about it is just comforting. Came here before the pandemic and now four years later the service, selection and quality is just as it was. The breakfast burritos are SO GOOD and they have a huge variety of baked goods. Plus the guys are just so nice. Homey, nostalgic, cozy but still buzzy. Quintessential coffee shop vibes. I will come back to Hermosa again just to go here.

Java man has the best Americano I have ever tried. Whenever I go here to work, I don't have to worry about bringing my own headphones because their music choice is insane - their playlists are often better than any music I could have chosen to play myself. Service, coffee, and vibes are all 10/10

Looking for a coffee shop on a Friday morning, I wandered into Java Man. The pastry selection was so tempting, but the Coconut Pineapple Coffee Cake grabbed my attention. I got that and a chorizo breakfast burrito. The breakfast burrito came with a cup of salsa and was light and delicious, but it wasn't as packed as the breakfast burritos I'm used to having. Most of its flavor had to come from the salsa. The Coconut Pineapple Coffee Cake has a crunchy crumble topping and the cake is very soft. It literally tastes like eating a Piña Colada! I will be back to try more breakfast decadence.

Neighborhood Beach Joint. The BEST! All the guys are wonderful. Rick the owner is wonderful (also owns Ocean Diner on Aviation in HB). My regular morning routine. I’ve been going to Javaman since it opened many moons ago….and will continue to be a loyal neighborhood customer. Don’t hesitate to try the MorningGlory Muffin and the house flavored coffee. They will make your day!

So good! I got a cinnamon roll and an orange juice here. Both were great. The cinnamon role honestly is one of the best I've ever had. I loved the seating area. There is ample space to sit and it is very quaint and homey.
