I got there just before the dinner rush. The outside tables were filling up, and the bar was full. Great Service. The most amazing food. They gave complimentary homemade flour tortillas, butter, red salsa, and green avocado salsa. Wow best tortillas I ever had. Then finish off with the three most flavorful De Filet Mignon Tacos that just melted in my mouth. The meat is very tender, and the flavors are like a bite of heaven with every bite. JD the GM runs the place very well.

Great experience all around. I took my friend from Kansas who is not a huge Mexican food fan. I told her to come to Palmilla and give it a try. We had the caesar salad (I loved the capers in it) Ceviche trio, and the carnitas. The food was so good, not greasy like a lot of Mexican food and deliciously elevated. The Serrano cilantro margarita was amazing too. Service was friendly and prompt. Thank you

The servers and bartenders were awesome. Excited to tell you about the food and drinks. We just made a quick stop to give it a shot and we weren't disappointed. Will be going back for sure.
You can tell their making an effort on their food and the style of the restaurant but there is a cleanliness issue on almost every level. Our table had food on the seats, the salt and pepper dispenser also had food residue clogging them and the worst was our waiter wasn't clean.As a former waiter myself, I try to be forgiving because it's a tough industry. Our waiter's fly on his pants was stapled shut, maybe an "on the day" zipper failure but he was also keep his check book down the back of his pants which is just a gross decision to make for someone who handles food. For the prices they charge, I expect better

The food was good but the service was not on point. I wasn't sure who our waiter was because three different people came to ask us about our drink, and if we were ready to order, then when we asked a question about a promotion, they never came back with the answer. I asked for more tortillas and never got them.
Fun place with delicious food. Our server Sully was helpful and quick to answer questions. He was flexible about making changes to the items, such as adding cabbage slaw to the vegan tacos.

Tried this restaurant upon seeing positive reviews, and they didn't lead us wrong. The food was OUTSTANDING, the service was terrific (both attentive and speedy), and the vibe of the place was perfect. We enjoyed outside seating, and even though the evening was cool, the set-up blocked the wind well and outside heaters were abundant. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place!

MY NEW FAVORITE! I came here for a date on January 16, and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it since. I'm cheating on my usual spots, but I don't care. It's worth it. This place is perfect - the food is delicious; the service is some of the best I've had anywhere (I wish I remembered the name of my server - I'll update as soon as I get it!); the location is obviously beautiful, being on Hermosa Beach; and the ambience is friendly, inviting, and warm. Also, and most surprising considering its location, it doesn't break the bank! Very reasonably priced. Dare I say they should be charging more? (Because I've had some very average Mexican food at Alma in The Grove for 3x what I paid here.) I have nothing but praise for Palmilla Cocina y Tequila. Every day I try to make an excuse to return, but I unfortunately live up in Hollywood...Someday, soon. Very, very soon.I ordered the enchilada y chile relleno, and my date got the El Bol!
