Waking along the beach and figuring out where to have lunch. Not sure where to go but kept coming back to this place and took the most pleasant chance and feel very fortunate to do so. I’m a clam chowder snob and they did not disappoint! Followed by battered cod fish tacos and breaded onion rings. All fresh and from scratch!!!! Yes, you can absolutely tell - even the ranch dressing, which is the only condiment you should use with onion rings. Thank you and I will be back!

We came for Hermosa beach for lunch and stoped in Playa Hermosa fish & Oysters because they have special of the day: grill Branzino for 2 and it was great choice for long time in LA because was very delicious and fresh sea food , good service and atmosphere infront of the beach 🏖️

Business dinner. Lobster tail pasta was on point. Calamari and oysters on the half shell amazing. Colleagues enjoyed Lobster Mac, Shrimp tacos and baja shrimp tacos. Service was amazing. Definitely recommend.

Workers were super friendly, and the food was amazing. Me and my partner got the lobster Mac and the lobster bisque in a bread bowl and they were both incredible. No skimping on the lobster either. That with the great music and location make it an easy recommendation.

The food was really good, the drinks are very strong! I took a star out for two reasons: the oysters are super super small! Size 4-5 (smallest in the market) the second reason is that the host was rude. We had a reservation and upon arrival we were given the worst table in the patio, I requested a better table as the table saved for us was terrible, the host proceed to tell me in a very rude way that this is the best table, I told him this is terrible table and what’s the point to have a reservation if we wont have a nice table. With attitude he kept pushing, I litteraly had to tell him that I dont want to fight and whatnot! Anyway we had a great time and the good was great I just wish the guy was more friendly.

It's rubbish, the security guard kicked me out and I asked him what the reason was, he had taken some and disrespected no one, rubbish It's the worst I guy looks like a kukarachua, Hispanic rubbish, he said he was civil
We stopped by for a family dinner one evening and thoroughly enjoyed all of the seafood dishes we ordered: ceviche, oysters, fried calamari, cioppino, and lobster bisque. Everything tasted fresh, and the cioppino had such a deep flavor that we ordered extra bread to enjoy the broth. Playa Hermosa is right next to the beach, and the service was amazing. I definitely recommend this spot if you’re craving seafood.

I’m really surprised that this restaurant doesn’t have closer to five stars. Came here on a whim when I was in town for business from DC. I’m a foodie so I’m very selective as to where I eat so I looked it up prior. The service was fantastic and it was time around 4 o’clock in the afternoon. I got the burrata and peach salad, which was fantastic and light and the lobster fettuccine which was amazing. I will definitely be back!
