Poulet Du Jour in Hermosa Beach is the real deal. Service was fast, warm, and genuinely welcoming. The salad is a true Mediterranean salad, fresh, clean, and perfect exactly as it should be. The hummus was rich, smooth, and enjoyably smoky. The falafel is easily the best I’ve had anywhere in the U.S., and I’ve eaten falafel in all the places you’d expect (Dearborn, MI; Bridgeview, IL). One bite instantly took me back to falafel in Jerusalem and literally put a smile on my face. The chicken was absolutely incredible, perfectly seasoned with Mediterranean spices, insanely juicy, and the skin is so good you’ll wish there was more of it. If you want real, juicy, perfectly seasoned rotisserie chicken, not a $5 bag of grease from Costco, this is it. The family meal deal was amazing ! The chicken was Moist and flavorful . Spicy hummus and hot sauce just banging . Everything was made with such care, robust flavors and just a great balance of heat, salty, sweet and tang. The owner is hilarious and took time to make sure everyone got what they wanted . We showed up in a large group and he accommodated the low carb people, the vegans and picky eaters . I dare you try this place and dislike it
We heard about the beautiful home atmosphere and beautiful place with the Amazing staff and tasteful food. And guess what, it was way underrated, it only deserves a whole 5 STARS, for food, staff, experience, service and most of all, the hospitality. It makes me want to fly to LA and go straight to Hermosa Beach for the experience to leave life and all it brings from stress behind and enjoy the moments at this place.
