Sooooo we thought because of the location the food was going to be mehhh..To our surprise it was delicious. I got the chicken taco, enchilada and tamale plate because I love to taste every thing. The taco was great the masa for the tamale was good and the sauce for the enchilada was delicious. Overall the food was good and authentic. They had a lunch special for $9.99 that looked good and I want to go back try a dish or two. Totally work the stop. He had the chilie verde and thought it was GOOD. I forgot to mention if you like spicy ask for their spicy salsa outside of their regular chips and salsa 🌶️🌶️🌶️

Place is nice but the food is honestly bad my order was lukewarm and the tortillas were not even cooked just warm all the meat was warm and just not flavor full the rice and beans taste like canned rice and beans the salsa tastes like tomato water and rosemary no spice at all and honestly for the price it's terrible but they are nice at least food is just really decent. food 3 out of 10 .service 10 out of 10 .all the food tastes really cheap and for the price it is not worth it. I got 10 tacos on taco Tuesday I guess chicken is the only one that's on the taco Tuesday is what they said so it came out to 74 dollars including tip.

A very cute, low key, authentic Mexican spot. Cute decor, great service, and delicious food. Fresh, hot tortilla chips and homemade salsa to start— so good. I had a machaca burrito with tomatillo salsa and guacamole- chef’s kiss 😘

Food was great. The server didn't seem too worried about getting us service. The place looks run down from the outside and the inside is about the same. A little fixing and this place will look as good as it tastes.

Absolutely loved this place. Rosa’s Mexican Restaurant in Hermosa Beach is the kind of hidden gem that delivers big on flavor and service. From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming, fast, and super attentive. I swear my Coke was refilled five times without even asking old school service done right.

I ordered the steak burrito, and it was packed with flavor. Tender meat, perfectly seasoned, and portioned like they actually want you to leave full. My kids had cheese quesadillas and devoured them, which is saying something. Even the basics were done at a high level.

The salsa was fresh and delicious, but the homemade tortilla chips were next level. Crispy, warm, and clearly made in house, not the bagged stuff you get at most places. And when I asked for a hot sauce, they brought out something that was straight fire in the best way possible. It was blazing hot, but full of flavor, not just heat for the sake of heat.

Everything from the vibe to the food to the service felt like a family run place that actually cares about the customer experience. Can’t recommend it enough. Five stars without hesitation. Will definitely be coming back next time we’re in Hermosa.

Great Dinner Experience with Excellent Salsa a...
I stumbled upon this place while searching for an affordable dining option. The online menu suggested that the entrées would cost between $12 and $14, but the actual prices were a bit higher. It was just me and my son for dinner, and we both enjoyed our meals. I also treated myself to a Corona.
The highlight of our meal was definitely the salsa and chips. They were so delicious that l'd consider returning just for those and a Corona. I was in the mood for a sit-down Mexican restaurant that served chips, and this place hit the spot. The food was fantastic. I had the chili rellenos and a taco, while my son tried fish tacos for the first time.
He enjoyed the fish and the taco separately, but not together. However, that was just his personal preference and not a reflection on the restaurant.
As I'm currently saving for an upcoming trip, I won't be dining there again soon. However, I would recommend it to others, keeping in mind that it's a bit on the pricey side.
But given its location in Hermosa Beach, that's to be expected. The salsa is simply out of this world, and I absolutely loved it. The service was also top-notch. The staff was so attentive that I'm sure if I had dropped a chip, someone would have picked it up before it even hit the floor. It was a truly pleasant experience.
