Went for DineLA and it was a lot of fun. Great menu selections for a reasonable price. Spicy tuna roll was the highlight.
Went there for Dine LA and fell in love. With return to try the rest of their menu. Perfect date night spot!
All I can say about Ryla is that it's PHENOMENAL!!!! One of the best culinary experiences I've had. This is hands down one of the best restaurants in SoCal. Absolutely phenomenal!
This is the third time I have been to Ryla, and it doesn't disappoint. We had an appointment, and was brought to the tables timely. The place is really crowed and so there is unlikely any opportunities for walk in. The service was fantastic, with very attentive staff who goes above and beyond to make you feel welcomed. Food is amazing and high quality. And with the added value of Dine LA option, it is a much better deal than usual. The typical/favorite options on the menu were on DineLA menu, and so made the choice very easy. Parking is never easy. There is a lot right next to the restaurant that charges $15 for 2 hours if you are unable to find street parking. In general, a great place for a special occasion.
We did Dine LA and the food was so good!!! The black cod and appetizers/desert were so yummy and sitting on patio was great!! Service terrific too!
Great service, and good food. The bottomless mimosas were delicious, the Cesar salad was amazing. I loved that you could see the anchovies. Eggs Benedict pork belly was perfect with the amount of drinking we were doing. The restaurant was loud, my party couldn't hear each other over the noise at times but it was brunch. The japanese pancake will be ordered next time we go back. The ramen broth was amazing. We will be coming back for a dinner service in the future.
wonderful server Juliana L was so pleasant and helpful . We loved the drinks and oysters and dine la menu! superb!
December 2025 - Reservation for three people on a Saturday afternoon. The place was busy but still had plenty of free tables.
Food/Pricing - Yuzu Sun $18.00 - Strong but tasty.
Yellowtail Hiramasa Sashimi $29.50 - Refreshing but had too much onion on top of it in my opinion.
Korean Spare Ribs $24.00 - Absolutely delicious and was so tender it was literally falling off the bone.
Blistered Market Green Beans $18.00 - Had tofu at the bottom. Overall the dish was good but very salty.
Spicy Pork and Shrimp Noodles $25.00 - If you like numbing spice (like I do) you'll certainly enjoy this dish. I was disappointed however that the shrimps were not whole and we're just pieces, same with the bok choy. The menu makes it seem like you'll be getting while pieces of vegetables and shrimp but they cut it to thirds or smaller.
Yellowtail Collar $17.00 - Lots of bone but other than it was very tender and yummy.
Service/Ambiance - Service was prompt but not necessarily friendly. They come in to check on you often but once you reach past an hour they might become passive aggressive like one snooty gentleman who was dressed in black. He came to check on us twice and on the second time I let him know we were still working on the food, at that moment he blatantly checked his watch and made a disapproving face. I would understand if there was a time limit clearly stated but there were none. I was having a good time and enjoying the ambiance until that experience.
Parking - Tough street parking but there are lots around the area.

Milk Bread, yes. Bao Bun bar app, yes. Nashville Chicken Karaage, no. Lobstah Roll, no. Wagyu Hand Roll, no. Sichuan Opera, no. The mains just didn't excite us. Other guests posted the same menu from a year ago. It was pretty inside...

Was top 5 HB restaurants for us, prior to last night. But last night we were seated by a loud crowd and the service was poor. I believe the low ceiling along the wall amplified the noise level leading to a very poor experience. We should have asked to be moved but it was a full house and we thought they were soon to leave. Service was also very slow and no communication. We ordered 3 items for the 3 of us and they did not arrive together. The second arrived after we finished the first. Iced tea refills were impossible to get and the dessert arrived without spoons and we had to track down another server to get them. We are local and we are taking them off our go-to list.

The food was incredible, very well done. The Hokkaido scallop sushi was divine. Our waitress was knowledgable, efficient, and kind. I visited for the first time for my birthday and they made sure to make it special and provided a delicious scoop of ube ice cream with w candle for dessert!
A delightful Friday evening experience, from friendly and thoughtful service to delicious food! Perfect to enjoy in the spirit of sharing--our mother-and-son table of 2 split two small plates, one sushi, one noodle dish, and a dessert. We were surrounded by a relaxed and incredibly diverse clientele, including families with kids, older couples, 20-somethings out on the town, and more. Korean-style spare ribs were fall-off-the-bone on point, and the yuzu Hokkaido scallop roll was light and tasty as anything. The weekend special, grilled Hamachi collar, was a delectable revelation. And the shiso pesto spaghetti with divine matsutake and trumpet mushrooms was just perfect. Matcha tiramisu was the final cherry on top. Well done, RYLA team!
Had the best experience, we were late almost 20 minutes and they still honored my reservation even though it was a busy night. Manager came out to check in on us and everything was great. We got treated to some ube ice cream to celebrate our anniversary . I'm definitely coming back !
45 min late to seat us with a reservation, staff was very overwhelmed and food was just ok. Not our typical experience there so very surprised.
Always a delicious dinner with excellent service. Sushi rolls and the corn fritters are favorites!
