We are coming here for brunch from out of town you do need a reservation to eat here but overall great service nice music I would recommend the Hong Kong French toast and the milk bread the food came out relatively fast by the way I’m 11.

Non traditional sushi. I guess you would have to say fusion, which is normally not my favorite type of sushi. But they do a great job. Our server was great. Sake selection was small but acceptable. And they have a parking lot!

we love the oysters, cauliflower, Korean spare ribs, and milk bread! the maple crème de pot is easily the best dessert on the menu but the ube ice cream with crispy rice cereal was a close second.

The tables are very close together, and it doesn't feel too intimate, yet there's an opportunity to create your own private little bubble around very delicious food. The brunch prefix menu is a great bargain, and all of the dishes are prepared beautifully. My only suggestion would be that the waitstaff/ team puts numbers on their order for the diners so that the food isn't auctioned off when it's brought to the table by runners

Came here for Japanese fluffy pancake with blueberries and it was light, balanced sweetness and a great size dish to share as a sweet side to your brunch. Highly recommend.Eggs Benedict with pork belly also very good.Made reservations although it did not seem necessary for a Saturday. Sat outside and enjoyed the people watching as the location is right across from the pier. Outside accommodates mostly 2 or 4 tops so a big group will likely be inside.Good service - my water was always full and I felt like the staff check on us regularly.They accept credit cards. Street parking only.

I rarely go out, but when I do, I don't mind spending a little extra money for a nicer quality restaurant. What I found at RYLA was exactly what I dream about. The service was the best service I have ever had and I work at a restaurant a block away, everyone knew everything about the menu was passionate no one was in a rush. No one had any type of attitude or bad mood. This was the most professional restaurant I have been in on the Hermosa pier. My servers recommendations for amazing.

Have been to RYLA for several special events meals and they are always delicious. Went to brunch and was still impressed with the uniqueness of flavors and presentation. Server was very attentive and he added to our enjoyment. I highly recommend RYLA.

What a fantastic restaurant! We put in a request to sit inside as there was only outdoor seating. They had an inside table for us and a fantastic waitress!! All the staff was fabulous- the chef outdid himself with our delectable dishes and then the waitress surprised us with a tiramasu dessert at the end. They made our night very special for our family.

Our server almost ruined our experience from the first moment. So cold and acting annoyed with us from the get go. We asked questions about a few cocktails and her tone was like we were idiots. She gave no suggestions or tried to help at all, just rushed us the whole time and there was hardly anyone at the restaurant yet. Definitely wasn't slammed. For those prices and quality of food, you want to feel like you're being cared for. Definitely not. Wouldn't go back because for those prices i want a good experience not just good food.
Someone in our party is gluten-free and we were completely satisfied with our sushi rolls, cauliflower, oxtail, and truffle rice. The setting is intimate, comfortable, and chic. The service was professional & friendly. A perfect meal and a nice evening with friends. Will be back!

First time going to RYLA and they have exceeded my expectations! Though it was Valentine's Day, there was an expected wait time (even with reservation), but the wait was not long at all! Food was delicious and brought out in a timely manner. There was one slight delay between meals and so we ordered something to small to eat in the meantime, and realized on our final bill, that they had comped it. Would definitely go again to try their other stuff!

The food was amazing and they provided complementary sparking wine for my engagement. All the dishes were amazing with an element of surprise. My fiance and I had a memorable night with a great ambiance. I'd come back and highly recommend it to others.
Amazing, Eric the server and Andrew were phenomenal. Despite having a fixed menu for Valentine's Day they made me a custom dish as I was allergic to peanut, always top service here. Couldn't be happier with food and the environment.

RYLA's special Valentine's Day dinner was wonderful. Each course was innovative and nuanced. The Pork Belly salad and the blue fin tar tar over toasted rice were particularly great.
