I was looking for a quiet local place to ask my best friends to be my bridesmaids. I came across Slay and immediately booked a table! They were so accommodating when I arrived and poured me a much needed glass of champagne. Food was amazing! Bottomless mimosas were fantastic and you even get to choose different juices to add. My favorite was guava! Thank you Slay for helping me with such a memorable moment.

Slay is an exceptional breakfast establishment in Hermosa Beach, distinguished by its outstanding and highly professional staff. The breathtaking view enhances the dining experience. My wife and I, visiting from Arizona, thoroughly enjoyed our Chilaquiles; the green sauce was superb, and the presentation was exquisite. We commend Julie, our chef, for her polite, professional service and the outstanding quality of the food. We highly recommend requesting Julie's services during your visit to Slay. 😊

The place is a gem. Get the cinnamon roll, one of the best I’ve ever heard. People nice and the ambiance is exactly the type of beach-y cafe feel you want

Well, this is a hidden gem. Three of us for dinner tonight and each one had a different meal. Food was hot and my goodness, so flavorful. That kind where you take a bite and shake your head with eyes wide open because you can’t believe how good it is.
Everyone was so friendly. Super enjoyable evening outdoors cozy with headlamps.

We had lunch at Slay Hermosa & everything and I mean everything, from savory thick cut bacon to THE pancake of all pancakes was delicious and perfectly executed. Our table shared several items, all incredible. We loved our experience. Slay & Co is the BEST ♥️

Hi, I am writing this one star review for multiple reasons. first if all we did not enjoy our breakfast sandwich at all, i thought it tasted horrible. secondly, the breakfast bowl had an OK taste. Within an hour of leaving Slay in Hermosa, I fell incredibly sick and was uncontrollably vommiting. I suspect that I got food poisoning, and i was literally throwing uo blood. I would absolutely not recommend slay to anyone, especially if you have high standards for food quality and want to avoid becoming sick.

I ordered the chilaquiles and they did not disappoint. The chips were still crunchy and the green sauce was tasty.

We ate outside, on their roof, which was quiet. Heat lamps were available. Service very attentive and friendly, conveying that your patronage was appreciated. Food very good. Since I had told them when I made the reservation that it was an anniversary dinner, they comped a hot fudge sundae dessert. On Tuesdays, some bottles of wine from their wine list are half price, making it less expensive to buy the bottle than to buy two glasses.
This was the first time we had dinner at Slay HB. The ambiance is great, service awesome (thank you Kaitlyn). We ordered the bacon wrapped scallops first. They were seared and sitting on a bed of honey - what a flavor combination - terrific! We then split a Caesar salad which was good (nothing particularly off the charts, but good. My wife got the Filet of Sole for an entree and I got the Pork Chop. The Chop was truly off the charts, Demi glad with shallots and a few mushrooms server on polenta and green beans - I would order this again and again. The Sole was a nice piece of fish (actually a BIG flank, not petite). It was panko encrusted, but the herb flavoring was waaaayyy too much Oregano. This was supposed to be a signature entree: message to Chef, please back off on the pungent herb, Oregano... Sole doesn't need that... Anyway, we'll go back to Slay. Thank you!
Food was good, booze selection is limited. Close to beach with great views from upstairs.

Stumbled across this cute place while looking up local brunches with bottomless bubbles! And this is by far one of my fave finds this summer. Everything was perfect from location with rooftop view (reserve in advance), Food (Nothing disappointed, to the immaculate service, and cleanliness of the restaurant. I highly recommend the cinnamon roll and thick cut bacon to share, the brisket grilled cheese with their jam is a party on the pallet, the classic American breakfast, the salad, the chicken sandwich, quiche, and of course mimosas were all delicious! And I hope you get our great waiter.. I believe his name was Marco Antonio, can't remember:/ but him along with hostess and others were all pleasant. I will definitely be back ;)
