Taverna is incredible, and the service is top-notch. The staff is highly skilled, which you don’t see often in LA. As someone who has traveled extensively across Italy, I can honestly say this is authentic Italian cuisine. After nearly four years in Los Angeles, I’m so happy to have finally found true, delicious, and flawless Italian food.

Very appealing design. Good happy crowd. Sidewalk seating was perfect. I ordered the duck ragu special and a glass of Nebbiolo. 15 min passed. No wine. Finally someone from the kitchen brought the pasta dish. Luke warm. No flavor. Duck could have been ground turkey. Pasta was overcooked. Texture of gluten free pasta. No wine. Finally the waiter ran out. How’s the pasta? It needs wine. He brought wine. I finished the pasta and left the wine. Waited 15 min. No waiter. Stood to go find a manager. Finally paid out. I suspect others were having good meals and service. Lots of potential here but quality control is key.
This is hands down the best Italian cuisine in Los Angeles!
My wife and I agreed that from now on, this will be our go-to spot.
Every single dish we tried was a masterpiece – beautifully presented, perfectly cooked, and full of authentic flavor.
The filet mignon, in particular, was absolutely outstanding – tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection.
The cozy atmosphere, warm service, and truly exceptional food make this place a rare gem.
Highly recommend Stecca Taverna to anyone looking for an unforgettable Italian dining experience!

OMG! What a find. This place is incredible. Carpaccio with truffles, peach and burrata salad. Pear and arugula! All beautifully served. The pasta was incredible and the salmon was perfectly prepared!! Wine selection was perfect as well. Service was perfect too. Diego has a hit.

I came for lunch with my partner to try the new dishes and it was amazing. The food was delicious and the service was very attentive. I really appreciated the attention from a young staff member you can tell he’s new, but he was fun and interesting.

Our foodie friends raved about this place so we had to try! I think it’s the best Italian in the southbay, everything was so spectacular. Beautiful restaurant, love the outside seating.
The starters were all delicious, my lemon pasta was to die for!! Lasagna, tagliatelle, linguine were 10/10. Don’t think you could go wrong with anything from Stecca Taverna
Staff was very helpful and cared a lot about everyone

The food is good, fresh, quality ingredients. Just be sure to double check the prices on the bill because they will price it wrongly (a few dollars more) for at least one item. They probably think people won't check and it doesn't matter. Also, the waiter came to our table outside too often, it felt a bit intrusive.

For years have wished hermosa beach had a good restaurant. Travel places all over the world and wonder why we don’t have food like those places.
Now we do.

We drove down during crazy traffic for our dear friend Maria's birthday ... and she chose this fabulous restaurant. Jon Franco served us generously and he captured our attention right away. Between the specials and what he recommended off the menu ... we were dazzled by beginning with the mushroom souffle and each roll out after from the freshness of the salad to the grilled huge prawns to the spaghetti with burrata and the lobster ravioli ... exquisite. Starting the evening with an aperol spritz (not sweet like I like it) to the dry white Jon Franco recommended ... savory and we'll drive back for this from W LA. Meeting Chef Georgio at the end to rave about his mushroom souffle and his graciousness ... Perfecto! Mwah!
