I totally enjoy the sampler . I like all of the three, but my favorite was the Mini Panko Avocado . A lot of different textures and a nice blend of flavors. Try the Furikake Fries you will be amazed at how good they are too.

We both had the burger with salad and felt it was average. It took a while to come out of the kitchen, and wasn't piping hot when it got to us, even though it was 6.30pm and the restaurant wasn't full. The burgers seemed slightly overcooked for Medium and Medium/Rare. The sauce or dressing on the burger was a little strange. It had some blue cheese, but wasn't a full-on blue cheese sauce. Seemed like it was blue cheese mixed with ranch dressing. Just somehow watered down and not very intense. The burger didn't have a very strong beefy flavor, a little bland. The onion scraps were also not very crisp. The salad was fine, but not particularly inspiring. This would all be acceptable if the cost was $14, but at $20 it seems excessive without enough thought as to how the food should taste and how quickly it should be served. We know that H&P has opened in MB and Simmzy's sells a far superior burger for $15.50 and up. Just thought you should be aware that your local competitors sell a better product for less money. Having said this we hope you continue to be successful.

Always consistently good food. Had the salmon and salad with brussel sprouts, and my friend had the grilled chicken sandwich. Seasoning was robust, but not too salty. Waitress was friendly, introduced herself, and had no problem with request for two checks for the table.

We were there during their happy hour and even though their dinner menu drew us in we decided to have several of their appetizers at half price. After we got into those, especially the scallops we knew what we were doing. The scallops are without a doubt the best raw version I have ever had. They had a slight heat to them but so tender and sweet. It was the perfect combimation. On top of that the tuna poke app was also amazing and you have to try all 3 versions of the street tacos. SOOOO good. Amazing service, great ambiance and although very busy the noise level was not an issue. I cannot wait to come back!

I don't know why they changed their fish tacos but it was greasy and fishy, using salmon for fish tacos is not the right fish to use. The greasiness made me sick. ? Thoroughly disappointed and a bit embarrassed we took a friend who never been there.

Our pork chops were delicious and service was fine. Only problem was that it was very cold because there were no heaters and the open air restaurant was hard to take. We had to bundle up!

Great cocktails here, especially the old fashioned. The burger was excellent as well with the crispy fried onion strips.

Good food ... we had a great time. Table of 8, service was terrific (Savannah I think), and everyone liked their food. We had brussel sprouts, fried avocado, fries, tuna sandwich, salmon salad. breakfast burrito, adult grilled cheese and breakfast sandwich (I think that's it). It was all very good ... and we sat outside on a perfect day. First time ... will be back.

The quality of burger was good but the taste wasn't so delicious, maybe because of bbq sauce on itExpensive compared to the food!

Great food. This is my go-to place when I am in Hermosa Beach. There is room for improvement regarding the temperature of the wine that is served. Red wine seems to be served at "room temperature". If the temperature of the room varies, the temperature of the wine served will vary. To serve a pretty good Cabernet Sauvignon at a temperature warmer than 70F is not good. Even so, this is still my go-to place when visiting Hermosa.

We both got bistro boards, food came out cold and salads were limp and wilted. Service was nothing special, kind of hard to get their attention, but expected for a casual lunch spot. They're opening a new location in MB, we're going to try it and are hoping for a better experience!

Hook & Plow has consistently good food and friendly service in a comfortable farmhouse-style setting. No doubt the new Manhattan Beach location will do well! I recently had the New England-style lobster roll, and they hit it out of the park! Being from Boston, I have high standards for a lobster roll, and this one did not disappoint! Big chunks of lobster meat and lots of it, definitely a winner! Thank you, Hook & Plow; I'll be back!

Server was excellent...Savannah I think. Panko avocados, very unique and delicious! Bloody Mary with pieces of horseradish...right up my alley! Shrimp and grits...one of the best versions I've had. The Spanish chorizo made it special.
